Should I Pickup Michael Wilson or Greg Dortch? Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 11

Should I pickup Michael Wilson or Greg Dortch as fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Week 11 of 2025? Read our fantasy football waiver wire outlooks.

The Arizona Cardinals are now in the midst of transitioning to a new era, but they'll still have eight more games to play before they can decide on Kyler Murray's future with the organization. That decision will have huge effects on Marvin Harrison Jr.'s career trajectory.

Speaking of MHJ, he will be unavailable for the Cardinals' Week 11 matchup against the 49ers, which leaves Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch as their two best wideouts heading into the game.

Should you pick up Wilson or Dortch ahead of Week 11? Let's dive in.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Michael Wilson Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlook

After showing lots of promise in his rookie season, Michael Wilson regressed as a sophomore in 2024. This year was viewed as a make-or-break season for Wilson, but he once again disappointed to start the campaign.

In five games with Kyler Murray under center, Wilson only managed to put up 52 yards and a touchdown. However, Wilson's numbers improved drastically once Jacoby Brissett took over.

Wilson has caught 14 of his 20 targets for 179 yards since Week 6, and his fantasy production has improved drastically. He has gone from averaging 3.8 PPR points per game with Murray to 8.0 points per game with Brissett.

While those aren't superstar numbers, it's better than what he was doing to start the year. With MHJ and Zay Jones out, Wilson will be the team's WR1 and their second option in the passing game behind Trey McBride.

Greg Dortch Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlook

It's very easy to root for Greg Dortch. The 5'7" Wake Forest product went undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft, but he slowly worked his way up to becoming a solid member of the Cardinals' offense.

His hot finish to the 2023 season had many anticipating a breakout, but the following campaign was a letdown. The Cardinals still re-signed Dortch, and he has fully repaid their faith in him with his great play as a returner this season.

Unfortunately for fantasy football fans, Dortch hasn't had too many opportunities on offense, with his receiving touchdown in Week 6 against the Colts and his rushing score in Week 10 against the Seahawks being his only meaningful offensive contributions this year.

Should I Pickup Michael Wilson or Greg Dortch for Fantasy Football?

Since coming out of their Week 8 bye, Jacoby Brissett has been determined to target Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trey McBride as much as possible. They were targeted a combined 44 times in that span, with MHJ finishing as the PPR WR7 and McBride finishing as the PPR TE2.

However, now that MHJ is out, it won't be too far-fetched to assume that Wilson (who was already a semi-regular part of the passing game under Brissett) will take his role for the time being, while Dortch will take over Wilson's role due to Zay Jones' season-ending Achilles tear.

Wilson is the safer option to pick up, but Dortch could also be a solid addition to your fantasy rosters. The 49ers have allowed the 12th-most PPR points per game to wideouts (34.2), and both players have the chance to have a good outing.
