BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 34% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Just when we thought we had seen Russell Gage reach the apex of his 2021 season, he went on to put up his highest score of the year thanks to the Falcons losing effort against Tampa Bay this past Sunday. With Atlanta missing some of its receiving pieces and even with a not-so-great Matt Ryan throwing the rock, Gage has found his way to leading the receiving corps of the Falcons and that shouldn't be changing through the remainder of the season.
Gage has now scored at least 18 PPR points in back-to-back games in the past two weeks of play. The tally went all the way up to 18.2 (WR14 finish) in W12 and he was able to (pending MNF) enter the WR1 realm this past weekend with a top-8 finish at the position to the tune of 22 PPR points. The line ended at a bulky 12-11-130 and all Gage failed to do was to score a touchdown. Other than that, the day was sublime for Russ.
With Ryan struggling mightily for three weeks and going, it's rather surprising that Gage has been able to have his best games in that span (he had a 9.9-PPR week 11, too). Without Calvin Ridley around and Kyle Pitts being an absolute afterthought in Ryan's offense, it's been Gage who has steadily eaten. Three games in a row with 7+ targets, 5+ receptions, and 49+ yards (including one TD in W12) adorn Gage's most recent entries in his game log. Nothing to hate here, and tons of production available for free in almost two of every three Yahoo leagues. Chase Gage, he's well worth it ROS.
