Sean Tucker - Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, Draft Sleepers, Draft Rankings

Should I pickup Rachaad White or Sean Tucker as fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Week 5 of 2025? Read our fantasy football waiver wire outlooks.

Starting running back Bucky Irving suffered a foot injury during their Week 4 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Although this injury did not limit his workload in the game, he was seen using crutches and a walking boot during Wednesday's practice.

As a result, their No. 2 and No. 3 running backs could see a larger role in the near future.

Should you pick up Rachaad White or Sean Tucker ahead of Week 5? Let's dive in.

Rachaad White Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlook

White has operated as the primary No. 2 option this season and is the favorite to take over the lead role if Irving were to miss time. Through four games, White has carved out a solid workload behind Irving, averaging 5.8 attempts per game with 2.3 targets per game.

Overall, he is averaging 4.7 YPC, which is on pace to be a career high.

While White struggled from an efficiency standpoint during 2023 and 2024 while operating as the lead back, his experience in this role puts him as the clear leader to take over RB1 duties in the immediate future. He should be the priority target in this backfield.

Sean Tucker Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlook

While White figures to take the lead role, Tucker could still carve out a considerable amount of work in the backfield. While he has only seen one rushing attempt this season, he was very productive last season.

On 50 attempts, Tucker posted an elite 6.2 YPC as he totaled 308 yards and two touchdowns. Through the air, he caught nine passes for another 109 yards and a score.

Managers who were unable to pick up White should prioritize Tucker, as he possesses immense upside if he were to be given an ample workload.

Should I Pickup Rachaad White or Sean Tucker For Fantasy Football?

While White is likely the team's new No. 1 RB, fantasy managers should look to target Tucker as well. Given that White is more widely rostered, Tucker will likely be available in the vast majority of formats.

Tucker flashed elite efficiency in the starting role at times last season and could show similar upside this season. If Irving's injury continues to linger, the Buccaneers could look to feature White primarily on third-downs, opening the short-yardage and early-down work for Tucker to ensure both backs stay healthy.

In addition, given White's struggles at times, Tucker would take over the lead role if Irving were to miss an extended period. White is the short-term play,  but Tucker carries immense upside and is still worth targeting.
