Zach Neto Placed On 10-Day Injured List
2 years agoThe Los Angeles Angels placed rookie infielder Zach Neto (oblique) on the 10-day injured list on Thursday with a left-oblique strain. In corresponding moves, the Angels recalled infielder Andrew Velazquez from Triple-A Salt Lake and left-hander Kolton Ingram from Double-A Rocket City and optioned right-hander Jimmy Herget to Salt Lake. Neto left the game early on Wednesday night against the Rangers with left-side cramping, but apparently the injury was more serious and the impressive rookie will miss at least 10 days. The 22-year-old is worth stashing in deep-mixed leagues after hitting .259 with six homers, 22 RBI and five stolen bases in his first 55 MLB games. Velazquez got the start at the 6 for the Angels on Thursday and could see regular time there until Neto is able to return.
