Mason Appleton Misses Tuesday's Contest
Detroit Red Wings forward Mason Appleton (undisclosed) will miss his first game of the season on Tuesday against the Boston Bruins. The 29-year-old is considered day-to-day, so there appears to be a strong chance he can rejoin the action later this week. Appleton has occasionally seen time in the top six this season and has been on track for his second 30-point campaign. In 26 outings, he has tallied three goals and six assists. Elmer Soderblom skated on the third line instead of Appleton during Monday's practice. The Swedish winger has been limited to one goal in 13 appearances this season and isn't someone fantasy managers should pay attention to.
