Michael Callahan Sustains Lower-Body Injury Tuesday
Boston Bruins defenseman Michael Callahan (lower body) was limited to 2:51 of ice time in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Detroit Red Wings. He wasn't available after the first period due to a lower-body injury. Bruins head coach Sturm said postgame he didn't think Callahan "will be ready for the next few days." Boston will return to action on Thursday night against the St. Louis Blues. On Tuesday, Callahan was playing in his second consecutive game after entering the lineup due to injuries. Unfortunately, it looks like he will have to miss time himself now. Overall, Callahan has featured five times for Boston this season, registering nine blocks but not scoring any points.
