Zach Baun 2026 Fantasy Football Outlook: Reason for a Rebound
Zack Baun saw a significant dip in his tackle production last year, which dropped him from LB2 in Standard IDP Scoring in 2024 to LB15 overall in 2025. However, that drop in ranking is a bit misleading since Baun was just 10 fantasy points shy of finishing last season as LB5 overall despite his tackle decline. The reason Baun stayed so relevant last year, despite his dip in tackles, is his usage in the passing game. The Wisconsin alum continues to rate as one of the best coverage linebackers in the NFL and his pass rush metrics are also among the best at the interior linebacker position. These skills keep Baun on the field nearly 100% of the time and give him a high fantasy floor even when tackles are sparse, since he can supplement his stat sheet with sacks and pass deflections. Thankfully, Baun has also shown the ability to collect tackles when game script allows and the oddsmakers are projecting a favorable sleight for Philly's defenders. Given Baun's floor as a well-rounded fantasy asset, along with the ceiling he showed in 2024, the Wisconsin alum is a relative bargain at his current cost (LB18 overall).
