Yordan Alvarez Dealing With Knee Soreness
5 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Yordan Alvarez (knees) was scratched from the Grapefruit League game on Tuesday with soreness in his knees, according to manager Dusty Baker. However, Baker said the move was precautionary and he doesn't seem very concerned. Alvarez admitted to playing through knee issues in 2019, so this is something worth watching in camp. The 22-year-old Cuban tore up minor league pitching last season and hit an impressive .313/.412/.655 with 27 home runs and 78 RBI in his first 313 major league at-bats. The American League Rookie of the Year was exposed some in the postseason, but he has lots of upside in this strong Houston lineup and is a top-10 fantasy outfielder.
