It has been an eventful week for William Byron. Byron and his team were docked 60 points for a "greenhouse violation". That illegal modification to the center section of the car did not result in any loss of playoff points, however. The Hendrick Motorsports Racing driver has been fast all season, won twice, and might have two more wins if not for some bad luck. Two years ago, Byron started second after Stage 1 but faded back before settling into the top ten again late. Last year, the No. 24 never factored in at all.
