Will Brennan Undergoes Season-Ending Elbow Surgery
Will Brennan (elbow) underwent a full repair of the ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow on Monday, per Tim Stebbins of MLB.com. Recovery takes six to eight months, meaning Brennan will miss the rest of the season. The 27-year-old appeared in just six of the Guardians' games this season and went 1-for-11. Brennan did accrue plenty of playing time from 2023-24, a 252-game span in which he batted .265/.303/.370 with 13 home runs, 71 RBI, and 17 stolen bases in 808 trips to the plate.
