Wayne Gallman Still The No. 3 Back
3 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Wayne Gallman, who remains the team's No. 3 back behind Cordarrelle Patterson and Mike Davis, saw a season-high 15 carries in the Week 10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys and had a team-high 55 yards. However, that was by design with a short week coming up. "We know we have to play Thursday, so that's why you saw a heavy dose of (backup quarterback Josh) Rosen and Gallman and the other guys," head coach Arthur Smith said. With that said, Gallman could see another big workload against the New England Patriots on Thursday night if Patterson (ankle) is unable to play. But even if Patterson is inactive, Gallman will likely play behind Davis and will be a low-upside RB4/flex in much deeper leagues.
