Von Miller Staying In Denver
4 years agoThe Denver Broncos will exercise the $7 million guarantee option on linebacker Von Miller's $18 million salary for the 2021 season, according to a source. Miller will remain with the Broncos for at least one more season despite the fact that talks to restructure his deal to help lower the team's salary cap went nowhere. In his time with Denver, Miller has played in 135 games, recorded 106 sacks, been named to eight Pro Bowls and won a Super Bowl MVP award. The soon-to-be 32-year-old has the highest salary cap charge on the team at $22.2 million this year. The team's longest-tenured player also is no longer facing criminal charges in Colorado. Miller's 106 career sacks lead all active players, and he is fully recovered from an ankle injury that kept him out for all of the 2020 season. A healthy Miller will go a long way towards making the Broncos Defense a potential fantasy sleeper in 2021.
