Victor Vodnik Rejoins Rockies Bullpen
Victor Vodnik (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list on Tuesday and optioned right-handed reliever Angel Chivilli to Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding move. Vodnik did not appear in Tuesday's contest against the Chicago Cubs and has been out over a month with inflammation in his right shoulder. The 25-year-old former 14th-round pick by the Atlanta Braves in 2018 returns to a 4.50 ERA (6.57 FIP) and 1.62 WHIP with eight strikeouts, one save and six walks in eight innings pitched. He is unlikely to be in the mix for saves on a historically bad Rockies team but should continue to serve in a high-leverage setup role in front of Zach Agnos and Seth Halvorsen. Vodnik has a career 4.68 ERA and 1.55 WHIP with 10 saves in just 90 1/3 innings pitched since debuting in 2023.
