Colorado Rockies right-handed reliever Victor Vodnik notched his second save of the year in a 3-2 win over the Cincinnati Reds on Friday. Vodnik gave up a ninth-inning leadoff double to Santiago Espinal before settling down and striking out both TJ Friedl and Matt McLain swinging. After intentionally walking Elly De La Cruz to put the winning run on first base, Vodnik fanned Austin Hays to clinch a Colorado victory. The hard-throwing 25-year-old has now gone 11 straight appearances without allowing an earned run. Vodnik's ERA has fallen to 2.30 with 29 strikeouts in 27 1/3 innings, though he has also issued a lofty 16 walks. The Rockies have given the majority of save opportunities to Seth Halvorsen, but he melted down in his previous outing and hasn't been particularly effective this year. Meanwhile, Zach Agnos hasn't done enough to take the job from Halvorsen. If he continues pitching well, Vodnik could be worth monitoring for fantasy managers in desperate need of saves.--Connor Byrne
