Tyler Kroft Placed On Injured Reserve
3 years agoThe New York Jets placed tight end Tyler Kroft (lung) and safety Marcus Maye (Achilles) on Injured Reserve on Tuesday. Kroft will be forced to miss at least the next three games after he suffered a lung laceration in last Thursday's loss to the Indianapolis Colts. New York's tight ends haven't been very productive through the first half of the season, with Kroft catching 10 of his 15 targets for only 104 yards and one touchdown in six games played. Ryan Griffin caught a touchdown deep in garbage time in Week 9 after Kroft's injury. He should see more playing time, but he's not a realistic fantasy option on a weekly basis with 14 receptions (25 targets) for 99 yards and the one TD in eight games in 2021. Trevon Wesco should also see his role expand with Kroft sidelined multiple games.
