Tyler Glasnow Expected To Make Season Debut Saturday
2 years agoThe Tampa Bay Rays are expected to reinstate starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow (oblique) from the injured list in order to start on Saturday against the Los Angeles Dodgers at home. Glasnow has looked like his old self in his last two minor-league rehab starts for Triple-A Durham, and he's allowed just one run on eight hits (one homer) while walking five and striking out 20 hitters in 13 1/3 innings over his four rehab starts down on the farm at Durham. The 29-year-old hard-throwing right-hander hasn't pitched yet in 2023 due to a left-oblique strain, but he's healthy now and shouldn't have any restrictions in his first game back this weekend. The matchup against the Dodgers isn't the greatest, but Glasnow has fantasy ace potential now that he's back.
