Tyler Black Still Rehabbing with ACL Brewers
Tyler Black (hand) has resumed his rehab assignment with the team's Arizona Complex League (ACL) affiliate. The 24-year-old had surgery in late March for a right-hamate fracture and started a minor-league rehab assignment with the ACL Brewers on May 15. After a week of games, it was expected that his rehab would be moved to Triple-A Nashville, however, the left-handed hitter appeared in just one contest -- still with the ACL Brewers -- from May 24 through June 5. The former 33rd-overall draft pick has now made three more starts at that level since this past Friday. There's no official word, but it seems Black encountered a setback at some point, so there is no new timeline regarding his move to Nashville. The 6-foot-1 slugger offers solid hit, power, and speed tools, but was unable to get going in his debut with Milwaukee last season, slashing .204/.316/.245 with zero home runs, although he did manage to swipe three bags in 18 games. Check back for updates regarding his progress in the coming days.
