Tommy Edman Drops To Sixth In Batting Order
Tommy Edman is being dropped to sixth in the batting order on Thursday against Pittsburgh Pirates right-hander Chad Kuhl. Center fielder Dylan Carlson will move up to the leadoff spot as a result. The switch-hitting Edman recently returned from a minor abdominal injury, but it hasn't really slowed him down at the plate, as he's hitting .304/.333/.348 with an RBI and a stolen base in 24 plate appearances over six games in the last week. But in the last two weeks, he's hitting just .250 with one RBI and one stolen base. Edman doesn't supply much power (just four home runs) and 19 RBI, but he's stolen 13 bases in 15 attempts on the season. He'll obviously have a much lower DFS ceiling on Thursday in the six-hole.
