Drew Millas Suffers Fracture and Dislocation of his Finger
Drew Millas (finger) was pulled from Wednesday's game early against the New York Yankees with a fracture and a dislocation of his left second finger, according to Nationals Communications. Millas went hitless in his only at-bat of an eventual 11-2 blowout loss, and he was replaced behind the dish by Riley Adams. The 27-year-old backstop was injured when Austin Wells' bat hit Millas' hand during a swing, which resulted in catcher's interference. Millas will almost certainly land on the 10-day injured list and could miss the rest of the 2025 season with just over a month left of action in the regular season. Keibert Ruiz (concussion) remains on the IL, so with Millas now hurt, Adams could be counted on even more behind the dish in D.C. Millas came into Wednesday's tilt hitting .313 but in just 54 plate appearances.
