Pablo Lopez Goes Four Innings in Second Rehab Start
Pablo Lopez (shoulder) made his second minor-league rehab start on Tuesday night with Triple-A St. Paul and went four innings, allowing three earned runs on six hits (one homer) while walking none and striking out five. Lopez threw 46 of his 68 pitches for strikes and got 12 swings and misses. It wasn't a dominant outing, but he might need only one more rehab start on the farm before the Twins activate him from the 60-day injured list and return him to their starting rotation to close out the 2025 season. The 29-year-old has been out since June 5 with a right teres-major muscle strain in his right shoulder, but before the injury, he had gone 5-3 for the Twins with a career-best 2.82 ERA (3.03 FIP) and 1.07 WHIP with 61 punchouts and 14 walks in 60 2/3 frames over his 11 starts. Scoop him up now if he's available on your waiver wire.
