Titans Release Adoree Jackson, Dennis Kelly
4 years agoThe Tennessee Titans released former first-round cornerback Adoree Jackson and right tackle Dennis Kelly on Tuesday. Cornerback Malcolm Butler was also recently released. The 18th overall pick in 2017 out of Southern California, Jackson played in 46 games (41 starts) and recorded 200 tackles and two interceptions in his time with the Titans. His contract would have become fully guaranteed on March 17, so the Titans will save over $10 million in salary cap space with the move. Kelly's release will save the team around $5 million, with a little over $3 million in dead money. David Quessenberry and newly signed tackle Kendall Lamm are the most likely replacements for Kelly on the right side of the offensive line.
