Tigers Agree To Deal With First-Round Pick Bryce Rainer
5 months agoDetroit Tigers first-round pick (No. 11 overall) Bryce Rainer has signed with the team for $5.8 million, which is just above slot value ($5,712,100). Rainer, a high school shortstop from Harvard-Westlake High School (Calif.), is just 19 years old and projects as an impact bat at a premium position. At 6-foot-3 and 195 pounds, Rainer has a nice frame and should grow into his body as his strength continues to build. He is rated by MLB.com as the No. 10 draft prospect in the 2024 class.
