Texans Re-Sign Pharaoh Brown
4 years agoThe Houston Texans re-signed tight end Pharaoh Brown to a one-year, $2.2 million deal on Wednesday. Brown was scheduled to be a restricted free agent this offseason, but the Texans are hanging onto him for the 2021 season. He made his debut in 2017 with the Raiders and played in nine games for the Browns in 2019 before joining Houston last year. He played 271 offensive snaps over 13 games and caught 14 passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns in his first season with the Texans. But with Jordan Akins, Darren Fells, Kahale Warring and Paul Quessenberry also on the roster, it's highly unlikely that Brown will develop into a fantasy relevant commodity in Houston.
