Texans Defensive Line Could Be Compromised Against Browns
11 months agoThe Houston Texans defensive line could be missing some key contributors on Saturday in the wild-card playoff game against the visiting Cleveland Browns. Defensive end Jerry Hughes (ankle) has been ruled out, while rookie defensive end Will Anderson Jr. (ankle), defensive tackle Maliek Collins (hip), defensive end Jonathan Greenard (ankle) and defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins (shoulder) are all listed as questionable. Anderson was able to play in last Saturday's win over the Indianapolis Colts, so he seems to be on the right side of questionable. The 22-year-old has been excellent in his rookie year, recording 45 tackles (29 solo), seven sacks, 10 tackles for loss and 22 QB hits in 15 games played. The Texans are going to need to get pressure on Browns QB Joe Flacco, so the health of their defensive line on Saturday is worth watching. The Texans D will be a DFS sleeper against a Browns team that liked to turn the ball over in 2023.
