Shed Long Jr. Reinstated From Injured List
4 years agoSeattle Mariners second baseman Shed Long Jr. (shin) was reinstated from the 60-day injured list on Monday, according to Mark Feinsand of MLB.com. Long has been sidelined all season so far with a stress fracture in his shin, as he suffered an early blow in his attempt to bounce back from a rough 2020 campaign that saw him slash .171/.242/.291 with three home runs and four steals over 34 games. He looked good at the plate during his rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma, slashing .323/.417/.516 with one home run, two RBI and eight runs scored over seven games. Long has shown double-digit home run and stolen base potential through his career in the minors, and for managers looking for middle infield help, he's worth making a speculative claim on off the waiver-wire.
