3 years agoThe Carolina Panthers added linebacker Shaq Thompson to the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday. Along with Thompson, edge rusher Brian Burns, defensive end Marquis Haynes Sr. and defensive tackle Phil Hoskins were added to the list. The Panthers had a COVID-19 outbreak this week and could be very short-handed on defense in Week 17 against the New Orleans Saints unless several players test out of the league's COVID protocols. With both Burns and Thompson potentially out this week, the Panthers defense could be missing two of their best players. Thompson has 91 tackles (58 solo), seven tackles for loss, six QB hits, two interceptions, five passes defensed and two sacks in 12 games this year for Carolina.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
