Ottawa Senators center Shane Pinto scored twice during their 4-2 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Friday evening. Pinto opened the scoring in the first period on a snapshot. Later in the third, Pinto would conclude the evening by scoring the empty-netter to put the game out of reach. Over his past five contests, Pinto has found the back of the net four times and added one helper. During this stretch, he has logged eight shots on goal, added nine hits, and tallied five blocked shots. However, before this recent surge, Pinto tallied just two points (two helpers) over his last nine games. Through 67 games this season, the 24-year-old has scored 20 goals and tallied 15 assists. He is just one point away from setting a new career-high. He will remain in a middle-six role in the Ottawa offense.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
