Seth Brown Sticks With A's
Seth Brown cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Las Vegas. Brown is no longer on the team's 40-man roster and will report to Vegas, but he remains in the organization after recently being designated for assignment. After a recent rough stretch as a team, the A's decided to cut Brown in favor of some of their deserving young prospects. The 32-year-old left-handed-hitting veteran had gone just 11-for-52 (.212) in the first third of the 2025 season for the A's with a home run, three RBI, six runs scored and one stolen base. If Brown makes it back to the big leagues this year, the former 19th-round selection in 2015 out of Lewis-Clark State College will strictly be a left-handed bat off the bench for the A's against right-handed pitching.
