Ryan Feltner Feels Good After Rehab Start
Ryan Feltner (back) reported feeling healthy after throwing three innings (52 pitches) for Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday in his second minor-league rehab start, according to MLB.com. In his first rehab start in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League last Monday, Feltner went 1 2/3 innings. The 28-year-old has been out since late April with back spasms and was put on the 15-day injured list back on May 2. He's eligible to come off the IL this Saturday, but it's unclear if he'll need another couple starts in the minors before that happens. When Feltner is ready to return to the big leagues, he won't be guaranteed a spot in the Rockies' starting rotation. In six starts before his injury, he went 0-2 with a 4.75 ERA (4.32 FIP) and 1.48 WHIP with 25 strikeouts and 12 walks in 30 1/3 innings pitched.
