The Toronto Blue Jays announced Friday that they placed right-hander Ryan Burr (shoulder) on the 60-day injured list with a strained rotator cuff. The team selected the contract of righty Tommy Nance in a corresponding move. This season may be lost for Burr, who won't be eligible to return until mid-September. That's assuming Burr doesn't suffer any setbacks in the meantime. The 31-year-old missed the first three months of the season with shoulder troubles and just returned July 6 to throw two scoreless innings over a pair of appearances.--Connor Byrne
