Ranger Suarez Hit With Loss In Game 7
1 year agoPhiladelphia Phillies left-hander Ranger Suarez wasn't bad by any means, but he didn't pitch well enough to help his team win Game 7 of the National League Championship Series on Tuesday night against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Suarez allowed three earned runs on six hits while walking none and striking out six in 4 2/3 innings. It was the first time that the 28-year-old southpaw had allowed three runs in his first nine postseason outings. It was his worst start of his playoff career, but the left-hander was still excellent this year in October, posting a 1.93 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 19 strikeouts in 18 2/3 innings over his four starts against the Atlanta Braves and Diamondbacks.
