Masyn Winn Out With Knee Pain on Sunday
Masyn Winn (knee) is out of the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Tampa Bay Rays due to knee pain, according to John Denton of MLB.com. Winn received an injection in his knee over the All-Star break in mid-July and has been playing in pain for weeks. While he's day-to-day for now, this is totally something that could land the 23-year-old starting shortstop on the 10-day injured list, so fantasy managers need to plan for the worst. With Winn out on Sunday, Thomas Saggese will draw into the lineup at the 6 and will hit sixth against Rays right-hander Ryan Pepiot. Winn also had a day off on Saturday, but he's still in pain and needs more time off his feet. Since the All-Star break, Winn has hit .267 (32-for-120) with two homers, seven doubles, 14 RBI, four steals and a 23:4 K:BB in 31 games.
