Randy Arozarena Goes Hitless In Win Thursday
4 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena went 0-for-4 with one RBI in a 7-2 win over the Royals on Thursday. He has been struggling at the plate over his last seven games, slashing .154/.281/.231 with two steals, two RBI and five runs scored in that span. Arozarena has been streaky at times, but overall he's still put up solid numbers this year by slashing .265/.357/.427 with seven home runs, six steals, 26 RBI and 33 runs scored over 48 games. That being said, it looks like he's been lucky at the plate as he currently sports a .214 xBA and .355 xSLG, which rank in the 13th and 17th percentiles respectively. He's got a lot of potential, and could reach 20 homers and 20 steals this year, but it might not be a bad time to see what you can get for him in a trade before his numbers drop down to his expected performance.
