Rams Restructure Jalen Ramsey, Robert Woods
4 years agoThe Los Angeles Rams restructured cornerback Jalen Ramsey's and wide receiver Robert Woods' contracts on Tuesday to create additional salary cap space for the 2021 season. Ramsey's restructure created around $12 million in cap space, while Woods' opened up $8 million. The Rams are expected to restructure wideout Cooper Kupp and defensive tackle Aaron Donald as well. Entering Tuesday, the Rams were roughly $37 million over the salary cap. By restructuring their larger contracts, they should get under the 2021 cap without having to make any major cuts to their roster. Prior to restructuring, Ramsey's cap hit was set to be $22.5 million, Donald's is $27.9 million, Woods' was $13.9 million and Kupp's is $14.5 million.
