Raiders Hoping Darren Waller Can Practice Wednesday
3 years agoLas Vegas Raiders interim head coach Rich Bisaccia said he's hoping that tight end Darren Waller (back, knee) will be able to get on the practice field on Wednesday, but it's still a touch-and-go situation. Waller has been out since getting injured on Thanksgiving, and he's not a lock to return in Week 17 against the Indianapolis Colts. When healthy, Waller has been an elite fantasy tight end, but it's fair to wonder if his snaps would be limited whenever he returns after a long layoff. Backup Foster Moreau has 11 catches for 132 yards on 13 targets in the last two games against the Cleveland Browns and Denver Broncos and has become a high-end TE2 with Waller still sidelined. The matchup against Indy will be a good one for either Waller or Moreau, as they've allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to the position in 2021.
