Pirates Acquire Yu Chang From Guardians
Yu Chang from the Cleveland Guardians on Sunday in exchange for cash, according to sources. The Guardians designated Chang for assignment last Thursday. Chang doesn't have any minor league options remaining, so there's a decent chance he'll stick on Pittsburgh's MLB roster. The 26-year-old can play all over the infield and will give the Pirates more depth. In parts of four major league seasons for Cleveland, he's hit just .208/.265/.372 with 10 home runs, 46 RBI, 41 runs scored and one stolen base in 358 plate appearances over 131 games. He can continue to be ignored in mixed fantasy leagues.
