The Washington Nationals announced on Tuesday that they reinstated infielder Paul DeJong (face) from the 10-day injured list and optioned infielder Andres Chaparro to Triple-A Rochester in a corresponding move. It's unclear if DeJong will be in Tuesday's starting lineup against the visiting Detroit Tigers, but he's unlikely to see the kind of playing time he was seeing earlier this season before fracturing his nose and orbital bone on a hit-by-pitch now that infield prospect Brady House is up in the big leagues. Before his injury, the 31-year-old DeJong had 11 hits in 54 at-bats (.204) with no home runs, two RBI, three runs, two steals and a 24:2 K:BB in only 16 games for the Nats as their primary third baseman. Without regular playing time in Washington, DeJong will only be worth rostering as infield depth in deep NL-only fantasy formats.--Keith Hernandez
