The New England Patriots are working hard on a deal to re-sign impending free-agent safety Devin McCourty for the rest of his career, according to sources. The Pats already re-signed McCourty's brother Jason, and it looks like they're getting close to keeping him around as well. The 32-year-old veteran and two-time Pro Bowler has been a staple of the team's secondary, starting all 16 games in each of the last four seasons and five of the last six. He compiled 58 tackles (46 solo), five interceptions, seven passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery in 2019. McCourty's tackle total was down last year after having 80-plus the previous three seasons.--Keith HernandezRead More News
