Pat Freiermuth Has Upside Against Division Rival
12 months agoPittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth (knee) logged full practices on Wednesday and Thursday and is set to face the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 16. Freiermuth has been extremely quiet in recent weeks but could bounce back on Saturday with the Bengals surrendering the second-most fantasy points to tight ends this season. In fact, the 25-year-old exploded for nine receptions and 120 yards against Cincinnati in Week 12. There is still reason to be concerned about Freiermuth in this contest, however, with quarterback Mason Rudolph drawing the start. Rudolph and Freiermuth connected for five receptions and 31 yards on nine targets in their only start together, which came in Week 10 of the 2021-2022 campaign. Fantasy managers can roll the dice on Freiermuth if in search of potential upside this week but should not be surprised if the third-year pro disappoints.
