Jaylen Waddle Returns to Practice Monday
Denver Broncos wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (leg) returned to practice Monday after missing nearly two weeks with a muscle strain, according to Parker Gabriel. Waddle was involved throughout the non-padded session, his first real work since leaving practice early on August 5. Head coach Sean Payton initially expected him back within four or five days, but the absence ended up lasting longer than that. Waddle also missed Denver's preseason opener against the Atlanta Falcons. The Broncos acquired the 27-year-old from Miami in March after he caught 64 passes for 910 yards and six touchdowns last season, and he is currently listed as a starter on Denver's unofficial depth chart. Monday was a positive development after the extended layoff. Waddle still has time to get more work with Bo Nix and the rest of the offense before the regular season begins.

Jeremiyah Love Could Have Featured Role Without Every-Down Work
Arizona Cardinals running back Jeremiyah Love (ankle) may be headed for a featured role without becoming a true every-down back as a rookie. Josh Weinfuss said Monday that, based on what he has seen in training camp, Love could be used more as a featured option than a player who stays on the field in every situation. That lines up with what Arizona has said throughout the offseason. The Cardinals have talked about sharing the workload, even while expecting the third overall pick to see a significant number of snaps. Love got a long look in Thursday's preseason win over Las Vegas, starting and playing the entire first half while rushing 11 times for 58 yards and catching three passes for 14 yards. Tyler Allgeier is currently listed ahead of Love on Arizona's depth chart, and the backfield also includes James Conner and Trey Benson. Love is currently out this week with an ankle injury, but once healthy, he should still see plenty of work without necessarily owning every situation.

Jalen McMillan Considered Day-to-Day
Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said on Monday that wide receiver Jalen McMillan (knee) is considered day-to-day, according to Pewter Report. McMillan has been nursing a sore knee for almost two weeks, although it does not appear to be anything serious enough to put his availability in question for the start of the 2026 regular season. The 24-year-old was held out of the team's preseason opener against the New York Jets and will most likely not take part in this Saturday's preseason contest against the Kansas City Chiefs. When fully healthy, McMillan will likely operate as Tampa's WR3 in 2026 behind Emeka Egbuka (toe) and veteran Chris Godwin Jr. The former third-round pick in the 2024 NFL draft from the University of Washington only played in four games last year due to a serious neck injury that he suffered in the preseason. McMillan had 37 receptions on 58 targets for 461 yards and an impressive eight touchdowns in 13 games as a rookie for the Bucs. RotoBaller currently has McMillan ranked as the No. 59 overall fantasy WR.

J.K. Dobbins Practices on Monday
Denver Broncos running back J.K. Dobbins (undisclosed) was practicing with the team at training camp on Monday, according to Zac Stevens of DNVR Sports. The Broncos held Dobbins out of last Monday's practice with an undisclosed soft-tissue injury, but he returned to individual drills on Tuesday and Wednesday before being held out of the team's preseason opener on Friday against the Atlanta Falcons. It's unclear how much he did in Monday's practice, but if he returns to team drills this week, the 27-year-old might be cleared to get some work this Friday in the second preseason game at home against the Green Bay Packers. It would not be a surprise to see the Broncos keep Dobbins out as a precaution, though, considering his lengthy injury history. The former second-rounder in 2020 from Ohio State by the Baltimore Ravens was averaging 5.0 yards per carry with 772 rushing yards and four touchdowns in his first 10 games with Denver last year before suffering a season-ending foot injury that required surgery. Dobbins has recovered from that, but in what looks like a three-headed RB committee in 2026 alongside RJ Harvey and rookie Jonah Coleman, Dobbins' fantasy football value could be capped as an RB3/flex if he stays healthy.

Travis Etienne Jr. Has Held His Redraft Value in New Orleans
New Orleans Saints running back Travis Etienne Jr. has not exactly been handed the backfield, but his redraft case is holding up. Alvin Kamara has been getting the first call on third downs and in passing situations, while Etienne has handled most of the first-team work on early downs. That's the split that matters more than an unofficial depth chart listing both as co-starters. Etienne is coming off 1,399 scrimmage yards and 13 touchdowns in Jacksonville, with 1,107 of those yards on the ground over 260 carries. He has gone over 1,000 rushing yards in three of his four seasons on the field. At a 41.9 ADP, the price is still sitting in the fourth round. Kamara hanging around takes some catches off the table and probably keeps Etienne from seeing a true workhorse load. Fine. He doesn't need one. If the early-down split sticks, Etienne should still get enough carries to make that fourth-round cost work.

Puka Nacua Still Not Practicing With Groin Soreness
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua (groin) was not practicing Monday, according to Sarah Barshop. Nacua has been sidelined since leaving last Tuesday's joint practice with the Dallas Cowboys early because of soreness in his psoas. He also missed Thursday's practice, though head coach Sean McVay said at the time that the Rams were "being smart with him" and expected Nacua back this week "ready to go." Monday's absence doesn't necessarily change that timeline, but he has yet to return to practice. Nacua is coming off a huge 2025 season, catching an NFL-high 129 passes for 1,715 yards and 10 touchdowns in 16 games. He also added a rushing touchdown. There has been no new timetable from the Rams since McVay's Thursday comments, so the next few practices should give a better indication of whether Nacua is on track to get back on the field this week.

Carnell Tate to Be Evaluated After Practice Hit
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Carnell Tate will be evaluated after taking a hit during Monday's practice, according to Turron Davenport. Head coach Robert Saleh didn't sound concerned afterward, and Tate said he was good as he walked back into the building following practice. No specific injury or body part has been reported yet. Tate, the fourth overall pick in April's draft, has been one of the bigger stories of Titans camp after repeatedly flashing during offseason work and training camp. His preseason debut was quiet, as he went without a catch on three targets against the San Francisco 49ers, though Saleh said afterward that Tate played fast and was winning his one-on-one matchups. For now, there isn't much reason to read more into Monday's hit until Tennessee completes the evaluation. Saleh's immediate reaction is encouraging, but Tate's status will be clearer once the team provides another update.

Marvin Harrison Jr. Showing Growth in Training Camp
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. continues to show encouraging signs during his third training camp. Josh Weinfuss noted Monday that the Cardinals have seen growth from Harrison this summer, with the former fourth overall pick making some impressive catches and putting his natural talent on display. There have been flashes throughout camp, including a diving catch for more than 50 yards on a deep ball from Jacoby Brissett earlier this month. Harrison is coming off a difficult second season that was interrupted by several health issues. He finished 2025 with 41 catches for 608 yards and four touchdowns in 12 games while dealing with a concussion, appendicitis and heel problems along the way. His first two NFL seasons haven't produced the consistent numbers many expected when Arizona drafted him, but the talent has never really been the question. Harrison putting together stronger work this summer is a good sign as he looks to take a step forward in 2026.

Michael Penix Jr. Still Only Doing 7-on-7 Drills
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. (knee) remains limited to 7-on-7 work as he continues his recovery from a partially torn ACL in his left knee. Head coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday that Atlanta has 7-on-7 periods scheduled during this week's joint practices against the Indianapolis Colts specifically so Penix can participate, according to Marc Raimondi. The third-year quarterback still has not been cleared for full 11-on-11 team drills. Penix underwent surgery in late November after the injury ended his 2025 season and has been working through individual drills, one-on-ones and 7-on-7 periods during camp. Getting reps against the Colts defense will give him something different this week without pushing him beyond his current restrictions. Penix has said his goal is to be ready for Week 1, but the Falcons have continued to let the medical staff determine his pace. Until he's cleared for full-team work, there is still another significant step to take in his return.

Geno Smith Returns to Field for Monday's Walkthrough
New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith (ankle) was back on the field Monday, participating in the team's walkthrough while wearing a sleeve over his lower left leg, according to Rich Cimini. Smith missed Friday's preseason opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after developing ankle soreness during the final joint practice between the teams. Head coach Aaron Glenn called the decision to sit him precautionary and said there was "nothing to be alarmed about," with Smith considered day-to-day. Monday's walkthrough participation is a positive step, but it is not the same as a full return to practice. Rookie Cade Klubnik started in Smith's place Friday and is currently listed as the No. 2 quarterback behind him on New York's unofficial depth chart. Smith's ankle will still be worth tracking over the next few days, especially with the Jets scheduled to play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Friday. For now, getting him back on the field Monday points in the right direction after missing the opener.

Jaguars Starters Could Play a Couple Drives Friday
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence is expected to see his first preseason action Friday against the Carolina Panthers. Head coach Liam Coen said Monday that Lawrence and other starters could get "a couple drives, potentially," after sitting out Saturday's 24-20 win over the New Orleans Saints. Coen had previously preferred to get his first-team work in controlled practice settings, but said the limited number of padded practices remaining has changed the plan. Jacksonville held most of its starters and front-line players out of the preseason opener, giving the younger players and reserves the bulk of the game reps. That should change Friday if Coen follows through. The Jaguars host Carolina at 7:30 p.m. ET, and even a short appearance would give Lawrence and the starting offense their first live game work of the summer. Coen has not committed to an exact snap count, so the expectation remains a brief tune-up rather than extended action.

Makai Lemon Still Sidelined With Hamstring Injury
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Makai Lemon (hamstring) remained out of practice Monday, according to Zach Berman. The rookie has now missed a significant chunk of training camp with the injury after first being sidelined earlier this month. Lemon also dealt with a hamstring issue during the spring, though it is unclear whether the two are related. Philadelphia traded up to select him 20th overall in April, and the Eagles still list him as a starter on their current unofficial depth chart. That makes the missed time more notable with the regular season getting closer. Lemon won the Biletnikoff Award at USC last season after leading the Power Four with 1,156 receiving yards, and Philadelphia drafted him with the expectation that he could contribute quickly. For now, the biggest issue is simply getting him back on the field. The Eagles have not announced a timetable for his return, and Monday brought another missed opportunity for Lemon to get work in the new offense.

Tank Bigsby Sidelined With Toe Injury
Philadelphia Eagles running back Tank Bigsby (toe) was not practicing Monday, according to Zach Berman. Bigsby has been getting plenty of work behind Saquon Barkley during training camp and is currently listed second at running back on Philadelphia's unofficial depth chart, ahead of Will Shipley. He has also mixed in regularly with the first-team offense this summer after showing some explosiveness in a limited role last season. Bigsby rushed 58 times for 344 yards and two touchdowns after joining the Eagles in a September trade with Jacksonville, averaging 5.9 yards per carry. It's unclear how much time the toe injury might cost him, so his status will be worth watching over the next few practices. Any extended absence would create more opportunities for Shipley and the rest of Philadelphia's backfield behind Barkley.

Malik Nabers has "Looked Great," Expected to be Ready for Week 1
The Bergen Record's Art Stapleton said on The Pat McAfee Show on Monday that New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers (knee) has "looked great," and the team thinks he's "gonna be ready to go for Week 1." Nabers was not in uniform for the team's preseason opener on Saturday against the Minnesota Vikings, but he took part in team drills on Monday for the first time in training camp as he continues to recover from a torn ACL and meniscus in his knee in Week 4 of last season. There has been a lot of uncertainty this offseason as to whether the 23-year-old former first-rounder will be ready for the start of the 2026 regular season, but it's beginning to look more likely that Nabers will be in uniform for the season opener in early September, barring a setback. The former sixth overall pick from LSU proved in his rookie campaign that he's a high-end WR1 talent, catching 109 passes for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns in 15 games. There is obviously more risk involved, but Nabers is trending up as at least a low-end WR1 pick in upcoming fantasy football drafts.

DeVonta Smith Appears to be Practicing on Monday
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) appears to be practicing in some capacity in training camp on Monday, according to Olivia Reiner of The Philadelphia Inquirer. Smith has not practiced with the rest of the team since Aug. 4 due to a hamstring injury, but he got in a workout before the team's preseason opener on Saturday against the Baltimore Ravens and appears to be ramping up. As long as the 27-year-old doesn't have any kind of setback with his hamstring, he doesn't seem to be in any danger of missing the Week 1 regular-season opener in September. It's unclear if Smith will be a candidate to play in the second preseason game this Saturday against the New England Patriots. With Pro Bowler A.J. Brown no longer in the picture in Philly, Smith will have the most upside of his career as he enters his sixth season in the NFL. He has already accumulated over 5,000 receiving yards and 31 touchdowns in 80 regular-season games, and with a larger target share coming in 2026, Smith has been boosted to a low-end WR1/high-end WR2 for fantasy purposes.
