The 28-year-old switch-hitting backstop remains one of the better fantasy catching options for power and run production, as he's currently slashing .240/.359/.574 with a .933 OPS, 12 home runs, 23 RBI, 23 runs scored and even four stolen bases. The next closest catcher in the majors has nine home runs (
Logan O'Hoppe). Garver isn't the worst DFS sleeper at the position. The 34-year-old is hitting .231 (12-for-52) this year with a homer, six RBI, six runs and two steals. He has one hit in four career at-bats against the lefty Springs.

Randy Arozarena (hamstring) has returned to the starting lineup for Tuesday's contest in Sacramento against the division-rival Athletics and left-hander
Jeffrey Springs, serving as the designated hitter while batting cleanup. Arozarena left Sunday's game against the Texas Rangers early with a tweaked hamstring, but he'll be back on Tuesday after missing the series opener on Monday against the A's.
Miles Mastrobuoni is starting in left field and batting ninth for the M's. The 30-year-old Arozarena has hit just .224 (26-for-116) this year but has delivered five home runs, 18 RBI, 16 runs scored and eight stolen bases in his first 32 games. He has faced the lefty Springs four times in his career and has one hit. Arozarena has been better against lefties this year, going 10-for-38 with two of his three home runs against them.

Washington Nationals first baseman/designated hitter
Josh Bell (groin) is serving as the DH and is batting cleanup for Game 2 of the team's doubleheader on Tuesday against the visiting Cleveland Guardians and right-hander
Ben Lively. This will be the first time that Bell has played since injuring his groin last Saturday against the Cincinnati Reds. The 32-year-old veteran left-handed slugger still has lots of raw power from the left side, but he's been extremely inconsistent so far in 2025 and is typically all or nothing. Bell is hitting .139 (15-for-108) on the season with five home runs, 14 RBI and 12 runs scored in his first 30 games this year. In his last five games, Bell has gone 3-for-19 with a home run. Despite all his swing and miss, Bell has averaged 21 home runs over the last four years.

Arizona Diamondbacks right-hander
Corbin Burnes (shoulder) said he's still tracking toward a return to the starting rotation on Saturday against the division-rival Los Angeles Dodgers. Burnes needs to check one last box with a successful bullpen session on Wednesday. The 30-year-old veteran said he had a cortisone injection last Friday to help him with right-shoulder inflammation that caused the team to skip him from his last start on Monday. Instead, he threw off flat ground on Monday and is apparently feeling much better. Burnes is typically a must-start in fantasy each time he toes the rubber, but this Saturday's outing against the dangerous Dodgers would be a time to fade him if there ever was one. Despite dealing with a shoulder issue last time out, he picked up the win over the Mets last Wednesday by going six innings with one earned run, five walks and three strikeouts.

Casey Mize pitching in Game 1 of a doubleheader against the Rockies on Thursday. Skubal will end up avoiding hitter-friendly Coors Field, but he'll actually get the tougher matchup in the Rangers this weekend. However, last year's American League Cy Young winner will still be a must-start in fantasy against a Texas offense that ranks 27th in the big leagues with a .643 OPS. The 28-year-old left-hander has been strong again in his seven starts in 2025, going 3-2 with a 2.21 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 48 strikeouts in 40 2/3 innings pitched.

Toronto Blue Jays outfielder
Daulton Varsho (back) is back in center field and is hitting sixth in the batting order for Tuesday's contest on the road in Anaheim against the Los Angeles Angels and left-hander
Tyler Anderson. Varsho will return to action after missing the last two games due to back tightness that caused him to be scratched from Sunday's game. The 28-year-old will be playing in only his sixth game of the year after having offseason shoulder surgery and started the regular season on the injured list. He has so far gone 3-for-14 with two home runs, three RBI, a steal and three runs scored in his first 17 plate appearances. Fantasy managers in season-long leagues will want to get him back into their starting lineups. In 12 career at-bats against Anderson, Varsho is hitting .583 with a 1.698 OPS, one home run and five RBI.

Luis Robert Jr. will get a breather on Tuesday against the division-rival Kansas City Royals. With Robert on the bench,
Michael Taylor will patrol center field and bat in the nine-hole against Royals right-hander
Seth Lugo. Robert will take a much-needed day off after starting each of the team's last 16 games. The 27-year-old hit .241/.371/.483 with four home runs and nine stolen bases over those 16 games. The Cuban outfielder does have 15 steals on the year in 117 at-bats, but he's hitting a disappointing .188 (22 hits) with five home runs, 15 RBI and 19 runs scored as the team's everyday center fielder. Fantasy managers setting DFS lineups can do better than Taylor, who is hitting just .191 (13-for-68) with a homer, six RBI and three steals as a reserve outfielder. He's hitting .091 with a .182 OPS in 11 career at-bats against Lugo.

Zach Eflin (lat) traveled with the team to Minnesota and is set to throw a bullpen session on Wednesday. Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun noted that the southpaw's rehab start went well and that he is close to returning. Fantasy managers should keep a close eye on his bullpen session as this could potentially set him up to return to action this weekend. During his rehab start at High-A, Eflin logged four shutout innings. He allowed two hits and struck out four. Before his injury, Eflin held a solid 3.00 ERA with a stellar 0.83 WHIP. He struck out eight batters in 18 innings of work, but he showed strong command as he served up walks at a 1.5 percent rate. When he does return, he will be a viable SP3 in all formats, especially when looking to boost your team's WHIP.

Tyler O'Neill (neck) is set to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday. This is an excellent sign for the 29-year-old as he appears to be nearing a return to action. O'Neill has been sidelined since April 24 with neck soreness. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his progression as he could be cleared to return this weekend to begin a series against the Angels. Before his injury, O'Neill held a .215/.284/.385 slash line with three doubles, one triple, and two home runs across 18 contests. During this stretch, he generated an elite 17.4 percent barrel rate with a strong .506 xSLG. When he does return to action, he should continue to see an everyday role in right field. Given his power upside, he is worth holding on to in five-outfielder leagues.

During his debut campaign in 2024, Merrill was the everyday center fielder and posted a solid .292/.326/.500 line with 24 home runs and 16 stolen bases. Fantasy managers should expect Merrill to remain a high-end OF2 given his five-category potential.

Ivan Herrera (knee) is scheduled to catch seven innings in a minor-league rehab game for Triple-A Memphis on Tuesday night, according to manager Oliver Marmol. Herrera is close to rejoining the Cardinals, and if his game at Memphis goes well on Tuesday, he could rejoin the team on their upcoming road trip, which begins on Friday in D.C. against the Washington Nationals. The 24-year-old has gone 6-for-14 with a home run and a double in his first four rehab starts for Memphis. Fantasy managers in need of catching help might want to add Herrera now if he's available on the waiver wire. When he returns to St. Louis, he'll be the club's primary catcher after starting the season on fire by going 8-for-21 with four home runs, 11 RBI and six runs scored in his first seven games. Herrera has been out since suffering a bone bruise on his left knee on April 6.
