Free-agent cornerback Tre'Davious White agreed to terms with his former team, the Buffalo Bills, on a one-year deal with a maximum value up to $6.8 million on Thursday, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. White will return to the team that selected him 27th overall in the 2017 NFL draft out of LSU. The 30-year-old veteran was named to two Pro Bowls and also was a first-team All-Pro selection in 2019 in his seven seasons with the Bills from 2017-23. White spent the 2024 season with the Los Angeles Rams and Baltimore Ravens, totaling 22 tackles (16 solo) and five pass breakups in 11 games (four starts) while dealing with injuries. He will mainly be trying to stay healthy in his return to Buffalo to give them experienced depth in the secondary. White hasn't played in more than 11 games in a season since 2020, his last Pro Bowl campaign.--Keith Hernandez

Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry said that he thinks University of Colorado wide receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter's skill set is best suited as a receiver, and he won't put a limit on him possibly playing both sides of the ball if he lands with the Browns. Berry also said he doesn't think Hunter needs to play both sides of the ball to be worth the No. 2 overall selection in this year's NFL draft. The Tennessee Titans are expected to take Miami quarterback Cam Ward at No. 1 overall, with the Browns now leaning toward taking Hunter over Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders or Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter. Hunter recently said he wouldn't want to play football in the NFL if he's not allowed to be a two-way player. The 21-year-old seems likely to be an every-down defensive player before he makes his mark on offense, but the Browns definitely need more playmakers alongside Jerry Jeudy.--Keith Hernandez

The Chicago Bears locked up a key piece of their defense on Wednesday by agreeing to a two-year, $20 million contract extension with linebacker T.J. Edwards that includes $16.6 million fully guaranteed, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Edwards was heading into the final season of a three-year, $19.5 million deal but will now stick around in the Windy City through 2027. The 28-year-old tackling machine finished as the No. 11 linebacker in IDP fantasy leagues in 2024 while recording 129 tackles (79 solo), a career-high four sacks, 12 tackles for loss, six QB hits, an interception, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries in 17 starts. He has now started 17 regular-season games in three straight years and has 100-plus total tackles in four straight seasons. Edwards should once again be an every-week starting IDP linebacker in 2025 as long as he stays healthy.--Keith Hernandez

Texas A&M defensive tackle Shemar Stewart visited with the Chicago Bears on Monday, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. The Bears definitely need help with their pass rush despite adding Dayo Odeyingbo in free agency to pair with Montez Sweat. The Bears hold the 10th overall pick in the first round of next week's NFL draft, but Stewart could be in play later in the round if they trade back. The 21-year-old's physical attributes jump off the page, but his production with the Aggies didn't exactly match up, as Stewart had only 31 tackles (six for loss), 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble and two pass breakups in 12 games last year at Texas A&M. He wasn't a full-time starter until last year, but he has been rising up draft boards since a dominating performance at the Senior Bowl. Among others, he's also visited with the Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots.--Keith Hernandez

The New York Giants hold the third overall pick in next week's NFL draft, and University of Colorado wide receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter would seem to be in serious consideration at that spot if he's still available, according to ESPN New York's Jordan Raanan. "I would not be afraid to play him on both sides. Physically, I wouldn't doubt the kid," general manager Joe Schoen said. Hunter said recently he wouldn't play football if an NFL team denied him the chance to play on both sides of the ball. The 21-year-old Heisman Trophy winner has the physical ability to be a generational talent in the NFL as a two-way player, but it's more likely that he'll become a full-time player as a defender than as a piece on offense. The Tennessee Titans are widely expected to take Miami quarterback at No. 1 overall, with the Cleveland Browns leaning toward taking Hunter at No. 2. Because he'll be a two-way player, it's hard to imagine Hunter being a huge fantasy factor in his rookie season in 2025.--Keith Hernandez

The Green Bay Packers have received trade interest for veteran cornerback Jaire Alexander, but no deal is imminent with just over a week to go before the 2025 NFL Draft. The team is committed to finding a deal for Alexander rather than cutting him, but attempts to shop the Pro Bowler have been unsuccessful thus far. A deal could take place following the draft if a team does not land one of the cornerbacks on their board. Alexander, a former first-round pick out of Louisville in the 2018 NFL Draft, has tallied 287 tackles (240 solo), 1.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, 12 interceptions, and 70 pass deflections in 78 games. He is a two-time All-Pro selection but injuries have caused him to miss 20 regular-season games over the last two years, and his best football is likely behind him.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBaller

According to Carolina Panthers general manager Dan Morgan, the team is "open to trading back" from the No. 8 overall pick in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. "I think we're definitely open to trading back and acquiring more picks," Morgan said. "I think we're gonna be open for all possibilities. Let's put it that way." The Panthers have nine picks in next week's draft and are looking to build depth on both sides of the ball. The team is expected to have a defense-heavy draft after ranking last in total yards per game allowed a season ago. If a team wants to make a move for Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart or Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders in Round 1, Carolina could be a team interested in doing a deal.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBaller

New York Giants free-agent linebacker Isaiah Simmons visited with the Green Bay Packers on Monday, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Simmons is an intriguing potential addition for the Packers after he played for the Giants the last two seasons. The 26-year-old was originally the eighth overall pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2020 out of Clemson. Simmons came into the NFL as a hybrid linebacker/cornerback and has bounced around at corner and linebacker in his time with Arizona and New York. He wasn't as productive in his two years in the Big Apple, contributing 71 combined tackles (45 solo), one sack, one interception returned for a touchdown, five pass breakups, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 34 games (five starts). Simmons could have a bigger role on defense when he latches on with a new team, but IDP fantasy managers will likely be avoiding him.--Keith Hernandez

University of Colorado wide receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter said he won't play football at all if an NFL team tries to limit him to just one side of the ball, according to The 33rd Team's Ari Meirov. However, Hunter said that no teams have expressed any issues with him playing both corner and receiver at the next level. The 21-year-old Heisman Trophy winner was listed as a defensive back at the NFL scouting combine in February, but he's fully expected to be utilized on offense as well for whatever team takes him in the upcoming draft. "I feel like I could dominate on each side of the ball, so I really enjoy doing it," Hunter said. It will likely be easier for a team to use him on defense early in his NFL career, but it will also depend on which team selects him. It means that he probably won't be much of a fantasy asset in his rookie year in single-year leagues. Hunter could go as high as No. 2 overall to the Cleveland Browns.--Keith Hernandez

The Miami Dolphins and seven-time Pro Bowl cornerback Jalen Ramsey are mutually set to explore trade options, and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport writes that it wouldn't be a surprise if Ramsey played elsewhere in 2025. It appears that the Dolphins and Ramsey, who is due $25.1 million fully guaranteed this year, are headed for a divorce. Although the 30-year-old veteran signed a three-year contract extension with the team last September, he doesn't have any guaranteed money beyond the 2025 campaign. Ramsey continues to be one of the better cornerbacks in the NFL, so there should be no shortage of interest around the league. The former fifth overall pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2016 out of Florida State had 60 tackles (39 solo), a sack, six tackles for loss, two interceptions and 11 pass breakups in 17 starts for Miami in 2024.--Keith Hernandez

ESPN's Jordan Reid writes that after the lucrative extensions of wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins this offseason, the Cincinnati Bengals are expected to devote most of their six picks in the 2025 NFL draft to drafting and developing defensive players. It also makes plenty of sense with the uncertainty surrounding All-Pro pass-rusher Trey Hendrickson. Reid believes that edge rusher and defensive tackle will be the most likely targets for Cincy in the first round with the No. 17 overall pick. On Day 2, the Bengals could go for an offensive guard because they could use a starter there. Georgia's Tate Ratledge and LSU's Miles Frazier are two players that could do well in the Bengals' system. Cincy's offense can put up points with the best of them, but there defense is very suspect, which will only be compounded if they trade Hendrickson.--Keith Hernandez

Both ESPN's Marc Raimondi and Jordan Reid think that the Atlanta Falcons need to prioritize the defensive side of the ball in this year's NFL draft. Their pass rush and coverage are the two most glaring needs, as they had the second-fewest sacks (31) and allowed the second-most passing touchdowns (34) in 2024. Due to their salary-cap constraints, the Falcons weren't able to make an impact signing in free agency at those positions, making it even more vital that they hit on those positions in the draft. An AFC scout told Reid that they'd "be stunned if they don't take a defensive lineman." The Falcons hold the No. 15 overall pick, and there will be plenty of D-line options at that spot, including Marshall edge rusher Mike Green and Texas A&M edge rusher Shemar Stewart.--Keith Hernandez

The Atlanta Falcons re-signed cornerback Kevin King to an undisclosed deal on Friday, the team announced. King will return for a second season in Atlanta after recording only 10 tackles (six solo), two pass breakups and a fumble recovery in 15 games played (one start) last year. It was the 29-year-old defensive back's first action in the NFL since 2021 after he didn't play at all in 2022 for personal reasons and missed the entire 2023 campaign due to a torn Achilles. King was used more on special teams in Atlanta and will probably do something similar in 2025. He was originally a second-round pick (33rd overall) in the 2017 NFL draft by the Green Bay Packers out of the University of Washington. In his five seasons with the Packers, King played in 51 of a possible 81 regular-season games and had 197 total tackles, seven interceptions, a sack, 30 pass breakups, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.--Keith Hernandez

As expected, Miami Dolphins cornerback Kader Kohou signed his $3.3 million tender offer on Saturday to return to the team for the 2025 season, according to the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson. The longer the Dolphins go this offseason without adding another cornerback, the better chance Kohou has of starting in the team's base defense in 2025 after a strong season in 2024. The 26-year-old defensive back finished last year, his third in the NFL, with 45 tackles (33 solo), a career-best two interceptions, eight pass breakups, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery in 15 games played (nine starts). Despite playing a career-low 671 defensive snaps in 2024, Kohou should be competing for a starting role in training camp this summer, depending on what the team does at the position in the upcoming NFL draft at the end of April.--Keith Hernandez

Eight-time Pro Bowl cornerback Patrick Peterson will be in Arizona on Monday to retire as an Arizona Cardinal, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Peterson, who hasn't been a Pro Bowler since the 2018 season, will hang up his cleats after a 13-year NFL career that saw him play for the Cardinals, Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers. The 34-year-old also was named a first-team All-Pro three times. He did not play at all in 2024 and had 42 tackles (34 solo), two interceptions and 11 pass breakups in 17 games (16 starts) for the Steelers in his final season in 2023. Arizona took Peterson with the No. 5 overall pick in 2011 out of LSU, and he was named a Pro Bowler in each of his first eight years in the league with the Cardinals. In his prime, Peterson was one of the best lock-down corners in the NFL. He finishes his career with 652 tackles (571 solo), four sacks, 36 interceptions and 122 pass breakups in 201 total games.--Keith Hernandez
