Ladd McConkey Officially Active On Monday Night
Ladd McConkey (shoulder) is officially active on Monday night to face the visiting Baltimore Ravens, as expected. McConkey will end up playing despite being listed as questionable on the final Week 12 injury report. It's excellent news for the Chargers offense, fantasy managers that rolled the dice on McCaffrey despite his questionable tag, and quarterback Justin Herbert's fantasy value in a plus-plus matchup. The Ravens defense has allowed the most half-PPR fantasy points to receivers this year. Meanwhile, McConkey has been Herbert's favorite target, as he leads the team with 43 receptions, 615 receiving yards and four touchdowns in his first 10 NFL games. The second-round selection out of Georgia could feast on Monday night. Both of his 100-yard games in 2024 have come in the last four games, including in the Week 11 win over the Bengals.Source: Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Khalil Mack Expected To Play Against Ravens
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
The Los Angeles Chargers expect pass-rusher Khalil Mack (groin) to play on Monday night against the visiting Baltimore Ravens to close out Week 12 action. Mack was listed as questionable for Monday's game due to a groin injury that kept him sidelined for the team's Week 11 win over the Cincinnati Bengals last Sunday night. The 33-year-old veteran linebacker made the Pro Bowl for the eighth time in his career in 2023 in his second year with the Bolts, when he went off for a career-best 17 sacks. In his third season, he hasn't been quite as good, recording only 4.5 sacks and 26 tackles (12 solo) in nine starts. It looks like Mack will return on Monday night across from Joey Bosa as a strong Chargers defense looks to slow down one of the highest-scoring offenses in the league -- second with 30.4 points per game.Ladd McConkey Expected To Play On Monday Night
Ladd McConkey (shoulder) is expected to play in the team's Monday night game against the Baltimore Ravens despite drawing a questionable designation for Week 12. McConkey was unable to practice last Thursday and was limited on Friday and Saturday. The second-rounder out of Georgia leads all rookies with 43 catches and 614 yards and should stay busy on Monday in an excellent matchup against a Ravens secondary that has been allowing big plays to receivers all year. The 23-year-old leads the Chargers in catches, receiving yards and touchdowns (four) going into Monday's contest. During the team's four-game winning streak, McConkey has two 100-yard games, including a season-high 123 yards in the Week 11 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Baltimore has allowed the most half-PPR points to wideouts per game in 2024.Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Chargers Place Hayden Hurst On Injured Reserve
Hayden Hurst (hip) on Injured Reserve on Monday before their Week 12 showdown against the Baltimore Ravens. Hurst, who wasn't on the fantasy radar to begin with, will now miss at least the next four games and won't be eligible to return until Week 16 against the division-rival Denver Broncos at SoFi Stadium on a Thursday night. The 31-year-old veteran only had seven catches on 12 targets for 65 yards and no touchdowns in seven games this year in his first season with the Bolts. Will Dissly will continue to benefit in LA's offense from the absence of Hurst, while Stone Smartt will also have a bigger backup role. Dissly, who had four catches for 80 yards and his first touchdown of the year in the Week 11 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, is in play on Monday night as a low-end TE1 in fantasy against Baltimore.Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter
The Los Angeles Chargers placed tight end Chargers Defense Better Left Benched In Week 12
Source: RotoBaller
The Los Angeles Chargers defense is better left on the bench in Week 12 fantasy lineups. The Bolts will face off against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football, and even though the Chargers defense has been one of the best in the league this season, the Ravens offense has proven to essentially be matchup proof. This is expected to be one of the higher scoring games of the week, so even with how well the Chargers defense has played this season, they are ranked outside of the top-15 for this week. They have some decent matchups coming up, but this is certainly not one of them.Cameron Dicker Should Have Another Good Game In Week 12
Cameron Dicker should have another strong performance in a Week 12 game against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football. Dicker is coming off a strong performance in Week 11 where he ended up as the overall K3 for the week. He's been a top-15 fantasy kicker each week but one since Week 5, and should once again land in that range in what could be a high-scoring game. Dicker is one of the safer fantasy kickers this season, and he has nice upside most weeks as well.Source: RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers kicker Will Dissly Set For A Good Game In Week 12
Will Dissly is set for a strong performance in a Week 12 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football. Dissly has been the overall fantasy TE15 since Week 6, and has finished in the TE1 rankings twice in that span. He's coming off an overall TE5 finish last week, and could see even more targets thrown his way with Hayden Hurst (hip) ruled out. The Ravens defense has been very kind to opposing tight ends, allowing the fourth-most receiving yards per game to the position. Dissly had been piling on the targets and catches lately, and in Week 11 he came up with his first touchdown of the season. Another one is far from unlikely in Week 12, making him a lower-end TE1 option with some upside in what should be a high-scoring contest.Source: RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers tight end Joshua Palmer Not A Fantasy Option Despite A Good Week 12 Matchup
Joshua Palmer is not a good fantasy option in Week 12 lineups despite a great matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Palmer put up a WR2 performance in Week 9 but has otherwise been outside of the top 24 fantasy wide receivers every week this season. The Ravens secondary struggles mightily against wide receivers (they've allowed the most fantasy points and the most yards to outside pass catchers), but Palmer just isn't involved enough in the passing game to be anything more than a touchdown-dependent dart throw in deep leagues.Source: RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston Has Tons Of Upside In Week 12
Quentin Johnston has plenty of upside in a Week 12 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football. Johnston set a new season-high last week with eight targets, tying him for the team lead with Ladd McConkey. McConkey is questionable with a shoulder injury, and while he seems likely to play, Johnston would have even more upside if his fellow wide out were forced to miss the game. Johnston, who plays the perimeter role on the Chargers offense, could have a huge game since the Ravens secondary has allowed the most fantasy points and receiving yards to outside wide receivers. He's a fairly safe WR3 with a lot more upside than most of the guys ranked around him.Source: RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Gus Edwards Not A Strong Starting Option In Week 12
Gus Edwards is not a strong starting option in Week 12's Monday Night Football matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Edwards will face off against his former team, but he comes into the game as the clear backup to starter J.K. Dobbins. Since coming off injured reserve, Edwards has seen a 25% and 16% snap share, totaling 16 carries for 82 yards without any passing game targets. Edwards remains an important part of the Chargers offense, but it hasn't and likely won't translate to fantasy value, especially this week against an elite Ravens run defense.Source: RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers running back J.K. Dobbins Has A Tough Week 12 Matchup
J.K. Dobbins has a tough matchup in a Week 12 Monday Night Football contest against the Baltimore Ravens. While Dobbins ranks in the top-15 in running back fantasy points, snap share, and carries, the Ravens defense has been elite against the run and awful against the pass. In the running game, the Ravens defensive unit is top-five in almost every important metric, so Dobbins is unlikely to rack up tons of yards. In what could be a high-scoring game though, there's a chance he'll find the end zone and still put up an RB2 performance. His floor is a bit lower than usual this week, however.Source: RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers running back Justin Herbert Looks To Continue His Ascent In Week 12
Justin Herbert has an excellent matchup in Week 12 and will look to continue his ascent into consistent QB1 rankings. Herbert started the season with six straight games outside of the top-15 fantasy quarterbacks, but he's been a fantasy QB1 every week since. In Week 12's edition of Monday Night Football, Herbert will face the Baltimore Ravens defense, a unit that has allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season. In what should be a relatively high-scoring game, Herbert is a good bet to finish in the QB1 rankings once again.Source: RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Ladd McConkey Tagged As Questionable For Week 12
Ladd McConkey (shoulder) is currently considered questionable for Monday's Week 12 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. The rookie wideout is headed in the right direction after getting in a limited practice session on Friday. He continues nursing a shoulder injury he suffered during last week's win over the Cincinnati Bengals. If active, McConkey should be considered a WR2 after a strong 123-yard performance last week. Although, fantasy managers will need to find a possible replacement in case McConkey isn't cleared to play.Source: Kris Rhim
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Hayden Hurst Ruled Out For Week 12
Hayden Hurst (hip) has been ruled out ahead of the Week 12 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Hurst was inactive last week and appeared to be in line to play this weekend until landing on the injury report on Friday. As a result, the Chargers have decided to hold out the 31-year-old for Monday's game. Will Dissly figures to serve as the primary pass-catching option for the Chargers. Last week, Dissley hauled in four of his six targets for 80 yards in the win over the Cincinnati Bengals. He'll have some TE2 appeal after seeing six targets in back-to-back games.Source: Kris Rhim
Los Angeles Chargers tight end Derwin James Jr., Joey Bosa, Khalil Mack All Stay Limited
Source: Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers outside linebackers Khalil Mack (groin), Joey Bosa (hip), and safety Derwin James Jr. (groin) were all listed as limited practice participants for the second straight day on Friday. Bosa and Mack were both on the team's Week 11 injury report. While the former suited up for LA's victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, the latter did not and only played four snaps the week prior. James Jr., however, is a new addition to this week's injury report after playing 100% of the team's defensive snaps for the seventh time this season. They'll each have another opportunity to elevate their practice participation before the Chargers must designate their status ahead of the Har-bowl (their matchup against the Baltimore Ravens). With five total defensive players currently on their injury report, Los Angeles could be heading into the battle of the brothers short-staffed. Keep an eye on them over the next 24 hours.
