Zack Rosenblatt, senior writer at The Athletic, reports that New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields is in the concussion protocol, according to head coach Aaron Glenn. Fields exited the game in the fourth quarter with a concussion, and the Jets ended up losing to the Buffalo Bills 30-10 on Sunday. Fields struggled mightily before his departure, completing an abysmal three of 11 passes for 27 yards. He provided fantasy managers with a boost on the ground, rushing for 49 yards on five attempts, but the Jets' offense struggled against a Bills defense that had just allowed 40 points to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1. Fields will have to progress through the NFL's protocol for head injuries to play in Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If Fields isn't cleared for Week 3 action, Tyrod Taylor would be in line to start in his place and would be a QB2. If Fields can suit up, he will remain a low-end QB1 due to his rushing upside.--Nicho Roessler

Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix was solid against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday in their 29-28 defeat. He completed 22 of 30 passes for 206 yards, three touchdown passes, one interception, and added 20 yards on the ground on three carries. Although he played well, the interception he threw in the fourth quarter proved costly, as the Broncos were up 28-23 and on the verge of field goal range, looking to go up two scores, or at least extend the game from a five-point to an eight-point lead. Nix now has three interceptions and a fumble on the season, but Sunday's performance was a step in the right direction for this Broncos offense. Nix did a good job of spreading the ball around, finding 10 different Broncos receivers, mostly leaning on Troy Franklin, who hauled in eight of his 22 completions. Next up for Nix is a tougher matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, where he will remain a low-end QB1.--Nicho Roessler

The Cincinnati Bengals have been calling around to other free-agent quarterbacks since Joe Burrow's (toe) injury, knowing they will have to add at least one more QB to their roster, Adam Schefter reports. This came moments after Schefter had also reported that Burrow will need toe surgery that will sideline him a minimum of three months. Jake Browning stepped in for the injured Burrow and led the Bengals to a victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, 31-27, throwing for 241 yards with a touchdown through the air and two on the ground to go with three interceptions. While Browning figures to be the Bengals' QB1 heading into Week 3, at this time, it's unclear if the Bengals will want to stick with Browning long term or not. Browning stepped in for Burrow in 2023 and started nine games, completing 70.4% of his passes for 1,936 yards, 12 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. Following the news of Burrow's injury, fantasy managers should lower the ceiling for some Bengals playmakers, including Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Chase Brown.--Nicho Roessler

According to Jordan Schultz, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (toe) is slated to undergo surgery on his toe and is expected to miss at least the next three months. Burrow was lifted from Sunday's victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars due to this injury. Following the contest, Brurow was revealed to have suffered Grade 3 turf toe. Before exiting, the former first overall pick went 7-for-13 with 76 passing yards and a passing score. In relief, Jake Browning led the Bengals to the victory as he tallied 241 passing yards with three touchdowns (two rushing, one passing) and three interceptions. Given that Burrow is expected to remain sidelined through December, he is in serious danger of missing the remainder of the regular season. As a result, fantasy managers should expect Browning to serve as Cincinnati's QB1 for the foreseeable future. While Browning was able to lead the Bengals to the victory, managers should expect the team's offense to see their overall ceiling lowered without Burrow under center.--Andy Smith

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young completed 35 of 55 pass attempts for 328 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception during Sunday's Week 2 contest against the Arizona Cardinals. He also took three sacks in the loss. While Young and the whole Panthers offense were slow to get going, they showed real signs of life in the fourth quarter and nearly pulled off an improbable comeback. The former No. 1 pick's three touchdowns are a testament to his ability to lead pass-heavy scoring drives and keep the Panthers competitive even when playing from behind. Both of these skills will serve him well going forward, as sportsbooks continue to set the Panthers as underdogs, indicating that Young will need to continue throwing the ball often and with success. Next week, he'll face the Atlanta Falcons, who dismantled J.J. McCarthy this week but allowed Baker Mayfield to throw for three touchdowns in Week 1. Young should rank as a mid-range QB2 heading into the divisional battle.--Andersen Pickard

New Orleans Saints quarterback Spencer Rattler completed 25 of 34 pass attempts for 207 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions during Sunday's Week 2 contest against the San Francisco 49ers. He also took three sacks and rushed for 14 yards. While Rattler finished with relatively modest passing yardage, his three touchdowns kept the Saints in the game against San Francisco and also resulted in a very solid fantasy performance. It's evident that New Orleans will be playing from behind in plenty of games this year, but Rattler is still able to play clean football and keep New Orleans competitive for a full 60 minutes. These two factors, along with his clearly demonstrated ability to throw for touchdowns, makes him a very intriguing waiver wire option. Fantasy managers dealing with injuries or underwhelming production at the quarterback position should feel inclined to place a claim or bid on Rattler, especially ahead of his Week 3 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, who have allowed 421 passing yards and four total touchdowns to quarterbacks over the last two weeks combined.--Andersen Pickard

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Mac Jones completed 26 of his 39 pass attempts for 279 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions during Sunday's Week 2 win over the New Orleans Saints. He also rushed for six yards and took three sacks. Jones made the start on Sunday with Brock Purdy (shoulder) sidelined, and he looked very comfortable and productive. The former first-round pick will remain the team's starter for the duration of Purdy's absence, which will likely last several weeks. While Jones isn't a long-term solution for fantasy managers, he presents an intriguing option on the waiver wire ahead of Week 3. Next Sunday, the 49ers are set to take on the Arizona Cardinals, who just allowed 328 yards and three touchdowns to Bryce Young. With NFL starting experience and a variety of weapons at his disposal, Jones should put together another solid game against the subpar Cardinals defense. He should rank just outside the top 12 fantasy quarterbacks heading into next week, making him a worthwhile fill-in for managers dealing with injuries or underwhelming quarterback play.--Andersen Pickard

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels (knee) is considered day-to-day with a knee injury, per Josh Taylor of A to Z Sports. Daniels reportedly received an MRI on the affected knee after getting banged up in his team's Thursday night loss to the Green Bay Packers. The 24-year-old has thrown for 433 yards and three touchdowns through the first two games of the season. Still, he brings a significant amount of value with his legs, rushing for 891 yards and six touchdowns as a rookie last season and 85 yards so far in 2025. If Daniels is forced to miss time, veteran quarterback Marcus Mariota would likely step in as the Washington starter in Week 3 against the Las Vegas Raiders. Even if Daniels can play, his rushing ability could be significantly impacted, depending on the severity of this knee injury.--Will Brady

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes struggled to move the ball through the air in his team's 20-17 Week 2 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, completing 16 of 29 pass attempts for 188 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Still, Mahomes managed to save his fantasy stat line by rushing for 66 yards and a touchdown on seven attempts. The Chiefs will have easier matchups than the Eagles' defense going forward, but it may be difficult for Mahomes as a passer while top receivers Rashee Rice (suspension) and Xavier Worthy (shoulder) remain sidelined. Mahomes has been highly effective as a rusher so far this season, recording 123 yards and two touchdowns on 13 attempts. However, Kansas City likely won't want to risk his health by asking him to do too much with his legs. Mahomes remains a mid-to-low-end fantasy QB1 going forward.--Will Brady

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones posted his second straight stellar performance in his team's 29-28 Week 2 victory over the Denver Broncos. Jones completed 23 of 34 passes for 316 yards and one touchdown, adding another touchdown as a rusher as well. Jones has now thrown for 588 yards with two touchdowns and zero interceptions across the first two games of the season. He's rushed for three scores as well. The 28-year-old is in his first year in Indianapolis after six underwhelming seasons with the New York Giants. Jones has been far better than expectations so far with the Colts, and may deserve consideration as a waiver-wire pickup in fantasy. He'll play his first road game of the season in Week 3 against the Tennessee Titans.--Will Brady

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (turf toe) could miss three months if it is determined that he needs to undergo surgery, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Images of Burrow's injury have been sent to Dr. Robert Anderson, who will review the information and suggest the best course of action for the former No. 1 overall pick. While there was certainly concern that Burrow's injury could be serious after he was seen with crutches and a walking boot, a three-month absence seems to fall on the more extreme end of worst-case scenarios for the star quarterback. We'll likely know more information about his status Monday when the dust settles on Week 2. Barring an unforeseen development, Jake Browning will start at quarterback for the Bengals in Week 3 and beyond.--Andersen Pickard

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott completed 38 of 52 pass attempts for 361 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception during Sunday's Week 2 win over the New York Giants in overtime. He also took three sacks and rushed for 17 yards. The veteran signal caller certainly bounced back after a disappointing season opener, and it was intriguing to see him spread the ball around to a variety of pass catchers. CeeDee Lamb, Jake Ferguson, and George Pickens all had at least nine targets apiece while combining for 258 yards and one touchdown as a group. Prescott will be a fringe top-12 fantasy quarterback heading into next week's favorable matchup against the Chicago Bears, who just surrendered five passing touchdowns to Jared Goff.--Andersen Pickard

New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye completed 19 of his 23 pass attempts for 230 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions during Sunday's Week 2 win over the Miami Dolphins. In the process, he tied his career-high completion percentage (82.6 percent). He also ran the ball 10 times for an additional 31 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown. The second-year signal caller has looked solid through two games this year, showcasing an ability to make plays on the ground and through the air. Sunday's matchup was relatively softer, but he was still tested from time to time. We could see a similar fantasy performance from Maye next week as he takes on the Pittsburgh Steelers, whose defense has underperformed through the first two games.--Andersen Pickard

Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski told the media that he's not considering a quarterback change following Sunday's Week 2 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Joe Flacco struggled in the loss, completing 25 of 45 passes for 199 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He also took two sacks and lost a fumble. With Cleveland trailing by multiple possessions late in the game, Stefanski replaced Flacco with rookie Dillon Gabriel. In the first drive of his career, Gabriel went 3-for-3 with a passing touchdown, albeit against a defense that presumably wasn't playing at 100 percent due to the large lead. Flacco will remain the starting quarterback in Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers, whose Micah Parsons-led defense has been playing quite well. Flacco can't be trusted in fantasy football next week.--Andersen Pickard

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson completed 19 of his 29 pass attempts for 225 yards, four touchdowns, and zero interceptions during Sunday's Week 2 win over the Cleveland Browns. He only rushed twice in the victory, adding 13 yards on the ground. Although Jackson didn't use his legs much, that was simply a product of the passing attack working quite well and the defense playing a great game against the Browns. The quarterback's ability to make plays on the ground or through the air is what allows him to rank as a top fantasy option week in and week out. Now responsible for seven touchdowns and zero turnovers through two games, Jackson enters Week 3 against Detroit as a high-end QB1 in fantasy football.--Andersen Pickard
