Seattle Seahawks wide receiver
Tory Horton (ankle) did not participate in practice on Sunday. This doesn't come as a surprise after Horton suffered an ankle injury during the second preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday. The injury isn't considered serious, but the Seahawks are taking a cautious approach right now. The rookie wideout is currently competing with
Marquez Valdes-Scantling for the third wideout spot in Seattle. A lengthy absence would certainly hurt Horton's chances of earning the role. Fantasy managers will have to check back throughout the week for more updates on his status.

New Orleans Saints rookie quarterback
Tyler Shough started the first half of Sunday’s preseason 17-17 tie against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He went 9-of-12 for 66 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. The offense struggled to get going early, managing just three points across four drives with Shough under center, including two three-and-outs. Once expected to be the frontrunner for the Saints' Week 1 starting job, his inability to consistently move the ball, even with starting receivers
Chris Olave and
Rashid Shaheed on the field, combined with
Spencer Rattler's solid performance, suggests momentum may be shifting against him. Shough remains a player to monitor, but he should stay off fantasy radars outside superflex or dynasty leagues.

Seattle Seahawks running back
Kenneth Walker III (foot) was looking good on the practice field on Sunday. Walker was able to practice in full, after dealing with foot soreness. The Seahawks have been careful with Walker early in camp because of his foot issue. Despite that, head coach Mike Macdonald said the plan is for Walker to be a full-go for Thursday's joint practice with the Green Bay Packers. This foot issue hopefully won't be something that lingers into the regular season. Fantasy managers should check back throughout the week for more updates on his status.

The Carolina Panthers have signed quarterback
Bryce Perkins on Sunday. The Panthers are in need of another quarterback with
Andy Dalton (elbow) sidelined right now. Perkins hasn't played in the NFL since the 2022 season with the Los Angeles Rams. The 28-year-old has been lighting it up in the UFL, which earned him another shot in the NFL. Last season, Perkins threw for 1,342 passing yards with nine touchdowns and two interceptions, which earned him the UFL MVP award. Possibly, Perkins can land a bench spot, but he's mainly being brought on as depth while Dalton is injured.

The Philadelphia Eagles have traded tight end
Harrison Bryant to the Houston Texans on Sunday. Bryant and a 2026 fifth-round pick will head to Houston in exchange for wide receiver
John Metchie III and a 2026 sixth-round pick. This seems like a good move for Houston to add another tight end to the mix.
Dalton Schultz is going to be the No. 1 option, but the backup job is wide open right now. Bryant spent the first four seasons of his career with the Cleveland Browns. His best season came in 2022 when he hauled in 31 receptions for 239 yards and one touchdown in 17 games. He finished with only nine receptions through 13 games with the Las Vegas Raiders last season. The 27-year-old figures to be depth for Houston, so there probably won't be weekly fantasy value here.

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said he "would love to get him out there tomorrow," referencing quarterback
Jordan Love, who could return to practice on Monday. The 26-year-old underwent surgery on his non-throwing left thumb to address a ligament injury he suffered in the team's first preseason game. The former first-round pick is still expected to be ready for Week 1 against the Detroit Lions. He threw for 3,389 yards and 25 touchdowns, adding 83 yards and one touchdown on the ground. RotoBaller still projects Love as a QB2 and ranks Love as QB20.

Carolina Panthers quarterback
Jack Plummer went 10-for-14 for 83 yards and two interceptions in Saturday’s 20-3 loss to the Houston Texans. At the end of the second quarter, defensive lineman Danielle Hunter hit Panthers second-string quarterback
Andy Dalton (elbow). The hit sent Dalton to the sideline, and he did not return. Plummer replaced Dalton and played the entire second half. Things did not go well for the young quarterback, who threw two interceptions. The University of Louisville alum went undrafted in 2024 but found a home in Carolina. According to head coach Dave Canales, Dalton's injury is believed to be a sprain to his throwing elbow, but the team will get imaging done to rule out a more severe injury. With only three quarterbacks on the roster and Canales stating the starters won't play in the third preseason game, Plummer should see plenty of action to prove that he deserves a roster spot in Carolina against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night.

Undrafted rookie
Ryan Fitzgerald is making a strong case for the Carolina Panthers' starting kicker job. He accounted for the team's only points with an impressive 52-yard field goal in Saturdays’s 20-3 preseason loss to the Houston Texans. Fitzgerald signed with the Panthers as an unrestricted free agent after the 2025 NFL Draft, but some analysts had him pegged as the top kicker in his class. His college stats at Florida State back up the hype. He was nearly perfect in his final two seasons, hitting 90.5% of his field goals as a junior and a flawless 100% as a senior. Fitzgerald is currently battling four-year veteran
Matthew Wright, who is listed first on the depth chart. Wright will have to hold off the rookie's momentum. If Fitzgerald continues to perform well this preseason, the Panthers will have a difficult decision.

Sanders impressed in the first game with two touchdowns before suffering his injury. Whoever is named Cleveland’s starting quarterback is mainly a late option in superflex leagues.

The Houston Texans have traded wide receiver

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur announced that running back
MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) "is going to miss some time" after suffering a hamstring injury. The second-year back left the Green Bay Packers' 23-19 preseason win over the Indianapolis Colts after catching a 33-yard pass. The 2024 third-round pick has been more hurt than healthy in his young career, having been limited to just one game in his rookie season due to hamstring, ankle injuries, and appendicitis. Despite coming into camp healthy, he was dealing with a groin injury in late July before this latest issue. In Sunday's game, Lloyd finished with 15 yards on six rushes and his one catch for 33 yards before exiting. He is currently battling to be the backup for Packers workhorse RB
