Usman soundly defeated Buckley by mixing up his striking with his wrestling and controlling Buckley on the ground. In 25 minutes of action, Usman landed four takedowns and 41 significant strikes. In Saturday's UFC Atlanta main event, Joaquin Buckley suffered a unanimous decision loss to former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman after being outclassed for most of the fight. Buckley did manage to land a few good shots on Usman, but he was taken down time and time again and controlled on the ground. Ultimately, the judges scored the fight 49-46, 49-46, and 48-47 in favor of Usman. In 25 minutes of action, Buckley landed 44 significant strikes. This is Buckley's first loss since moving down to welterweight.
