Justin Herbert Returns To Practice On Thursday
Justin Herbert (ankle, thigh) returned to practice on Thursday, according to Daniel Popper of The Athletic. Herbert was unable to practice on Wednesday, and seeing him back on the field just one day later is a positive sign for his availability over the weekend. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to his status on the injury report later on Thursday in case he was only able to log a limited session. Herbert sustained these injuries during last weekend's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. In this game, Herbert tallied only 213 yards and a score. However, in his previous six contests, the Oregon product has averaged a solid 21.2 PPR points per game and tallied nine total scores during this span. If Herbert can suit up this weekend, he should be viewed as a solid QB1 facing a weak Tampa Bay secondary that has allowed the most PPR points to opposing QBs this season. UPDATE: Herbert was limited on Thursday.Source: Daniel Popper
Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert Doesn't Practice On Wednesday
Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert (ankle, leg) did not take part in the team's practice on Wednesday after head coach Jim Harbaugh said "we'll see" when asked if Herbert would practice. With Herbert out, read more...
Ladd McConkey Practicing On Wednesday
Ladd McConkey (knee) was seen at practice on Wednesday. This is a great sign, as the Georgia product was unable to suit up last weekend due to a knee injury. Fantasy managers should continue monitoring his status throughout the week, but seeing him back at practice on Wednesday suggests he should be in line to return to action this weekend. Over his previous six games, the rookie has begun to find his footing at the professional level, as he has averaged 16.8 PPR points per game during this span with 91.7 yards per game. If McConkey can return this weekend, he should be started in all formats facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who have allowed the eighth-highest PPR points to opposing wideouts. UPDATE: McConkey was limited on Wednesday.Source: Daniel Popper
According to Daniel Popper of The Athletic, Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Will Dissly Not Expected To Practice On Wednesday
Will Dissly (shoulder) to practice on Wednesday. Dissly injured his shoulder on the final play of the first half in the Week 14 loss to the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night and is expected to miss multiple weeks, so the fact he's not practicing on Wednesday is not a surprise at all. The 28-year-old has been dropped in many fantasy leagues already and almost certainly will be ruled out on Friday for the Week 15 game on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Dissly is likely to avoid Injured Reserve, though, which means he could return before the Week 18 regular-season finale versus the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders. Stone Smartt should operate as LA's top pass-catching TE for as long as Dissly is sidelined, putting him on the TE2 streaming map for fantasy managers.Source: Alex Insdorf
Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh said that he does not expect tight end Justin Herbert Dealing With Ankle, Leg Injuries
Justin Herbert (ankle, leg) is dealing with a leg contusion in addition to an "ankle injury." "He'll be doing everything and anything in his power to play on Sunday. We'll see about (practice) today," Harbaugh said. Herbert took a shot to his leg in the Week 14 loss to the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night but only ended up missing one play and downplayed the injury after the game. The 26-year-old is also dealing with an ankle injury, though, and his status should be closely monitored heading into Sunday's tilt against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Herbert is one of the toughest QBs in the league, so we'd expect him to be out there in Week 15, but his practice reps could be limited this week and he might not be as mobile outside the pocket against Tampa. He'll be on the QB1/2 borderline in Week 15 if he's active.Source: Alex Insdorf

Justin Herbert Expects To Be Fine
Justin Herbert (leg) suffered a left-leg contusion in the Sunday night loss to the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs in Week 14, but Herbert said he doesn't expect the injury to affect him going forward. He took a hard hit to his left lower thigh late in the second quarter and eventually limped to the sideline. Herbert took a play off but then return to action and finished out the game without any issues. "Tough as they come, warrior," head coach Jim Harbaugh said of Herbert. The 26-year-old finished 21-for-30 passing with 213 yards and one touchdown. Herbert should be fine to play in Week 15 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but his upside as a low-end QB1 in fantasy will likely come down to whether rookie receiver Ladd McConkey (knee, shoulder) ends up missing his second straight game.Source: ESPN.com - Kris Rhim
Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Chargers Defense Does Well In A Tough Week 14 Matchup
Patrick Mahomes and his offense to 306 total yards and 19 points. They sacked the quarterback three times, but weren't able to record any turnovers or scores. The Los Angeles Chargers defense played well despite a tough matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs in a Week 14 loss. The Bolts were able to limit Cameron Dicker Makes Three Kicks In Week 14 Loss
Cameron Dicker made all three of his kicks in a Week 14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Dicker made both of his extra point attempts and also nailed a field goal from 37 yards out in the fourth quarter. "Dicker the Kicker" continues to be one of the more consistent and reliable options in fantasy football's least consistent and reliable position. He'll get to kick against Tampa Bay in Week 15.Source: ESPN.com
Los Angeles Chargers kicker Stone Smartt Makes Three Catches In Week 14 Loss
Stone Smartt was targeted three times in a Week 14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, making three catches for 54 yards. Smartt was forced into a larger role after starting tight end Will Dissly (shoulder) had to leave the game due to getting injured on the last play before halftime. Smartt has shown some upside in small bursts and could be a streaming option in 2TE leagues in Week 15 if Dissly is unable to return.Source: ESPN.com
Los Angeles Chargers tight end Will Dissly Forced To Leave At Halftime In Week 14
Will Dissly (shoulder) was forced to leave the game in Week 14 after getting hurt on the last play before halftime. Dissly caught two passes on two targets, totaling 19 yards before being forced to leave. Tight end Stone Smartt came in to take Dissly's place after halftime and picked up 54 yards on three catches. Dissly will be questionable at best for Week 15 against Tampa Bay, but as long as he's healthy enough to suit up, he should remain a high-floor mid-ceiling fantasy tight end option.Source: ESPN.com
Los Angeles Chargers tight end Quentin Johnston Scores A Week 14 Touchdown
Quentin Johnston scored a touchdown, his seventh of the season, in a Week 14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Johnston was expected to have a bigger role with Ladd McConkey (knee/shoulder) inactive, but that leading role went to Joshua Palmer instead. Still, Johnston saw seven targets thrown his way, making five catches for 48 yards including a four-yard touchdown catch near the end of the third quarter. "QJ" went on a touchdown scoring streak earlier in the season but hadn't found the end zone since Week 11. It was a solid performance from the sophomore pass catcher, who will face Tampa Bay next week.Source: ESPN.com
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer Leads The Chargers In Week 14 Loss
Joshua Palmer led the Chargers in most receiving categories in a Week 14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Palmer was targeted nine times, making six catches for 78 yards, all leading the team. Palmer took over as quarterback Justin Herbert's favorite target with Ladd McConkey (knee/shoulder) out and other Chargers pass catchers missing time throughout the game. A similar game plan could take place next week against Tampa Bay, where Palmer will be around the WR3/4 border if McConkey can't play.Source: ESPN.com
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Kimani Vidal Gets Eight Carries In Week 14
Kimani Vidal nearly split the backfield with starter Gus Edwards in a Week 14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Vidal ran the ball eight times, gaining 34 yards. He was targeted once in the passing game but did not make the catch. Vidal got two fewer carries compared to Edwards but was second on the team in carries and rushing yards and clearly working in a role that could continue to grow while J.K. Dobbins (knee) remains on IR.Source: ESPN.com
Los Angeles Chargers rookie running back Gus Edwards Finds The End Zone In Week 14
Gus Edwards scored a touchdown in a Week 14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Edwards led the Bolts backfield in carries and yards, and was the only runner to find the end zone. In total, Edwards ran 10 times, gaining 36 yards. His touchdown was a three-yard run in the middle of the third quarter that opened the scoring for the Chargers. Nine different Chargers players saw passes thrown their way, but Edwards did not get any action at all in the passing game. The Chargers will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next week, where Edwards will once again likely need a touchdown to put up a significant fantasy score.Source: ESPN.com
