Jalen Suggs Takes Part in Non-Contact Drills on Tuesday
Jalen Suggs (knee) was able to participate in all non-contact drills during Tuesday's practice. Suggs last played on January 25 and underwent surgery in early March to address a torn ligament in his left knee. The 24-year-old appears to be heading in the right direction and could potentially be available for the Magic's first regular-season contest on October 22 versus the Heat. Before his season abruptly ended, Suggs averaged 16.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.5 steals per game across 35 contests in 2024-25.

Dylan Sampson Still Looking for Larger Role After Quiet Week 4
Dylan Sampson turned in a quiet outing in a Week 4 loss to the Detroit Lions. Sampson lost two yards on his one carry while failing to corral his lone target in the lopsided loss to the Lions. The rookie running back has barely played over the past two weeks, coinciding with Quinshon Judkins getting fully integrated into the team's offense and operating as the Browns' bellcow. Sampson still retains a small amount of fantasy value as a handcuff, but he should not be anywhere near fantasy lineups heading into a Week 5 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings in London.

Andrew Kittredge Named Game 2 Opener
Andrew Kittredge has been named the opener for Game 2 of the wild-card series against the San Diego Padres on Wednesday. Clearly, the Cubs don't have much faith in their starting rotation right now. Shota Imanaga was expected to start, but now might come in to piggyback off Kittredge. It's worth noting that Kittredge did pitch during Tuesday's victory. He tossed a scoreless inning with one strikeout in the 3-1 victory. However, Kittredge only threw 14 pitches, so he should be able to give the Cubs an inning or two for Game 2. It'll be interesting to see how manager Craig Counsell manages his pitching staff without Cade Horton (ribs) for this Wild Card series.

Jaylen Warren Retains Fantasy Value Through Week 5 Bye
Jaylen Warren (knee) was a surprise inactive before Week 4's win over the Minnesota Vikings. In his absence, Kenneth Gainwell exploded for 134 total yards and two touchdowns. Though Gainwell's performance could earn him more volume in the coming weeks, Warren was very effective as a pass-catcher through his first three games with quarterback Aaron Rodgers and should reclaim RB1 duties when he returns. The utilization of Darnell Washington in Pittsburgh's offense seemed to open up running lanes last week, so fantasy managers should be optimistic about Warren's potential going forward. The 26-year-old will now have the bye in Week 5 to get healthy ahead of a divisional bout with the stingy Cleveland Browns defense.

Rachaad White Set for Huge Workload in Week 5?
Rachaad White could be in line for an expanded workload in Week 5 against the Seattle Seahawks. White has been efficient to start the 2025 season, totaling 142 yards on 32 touches, including the game-winning touchdown in Week 2 against Houston. His 4.7 yards per carry mark is a career high and currently ranks 18th in the NFL. With starter Bucky Irving dealing with an injury from the Week 4 loss to Philadelphia, White may be asked to step back into a featured role. If Irving sits, White projects as a strong RB2 option and is a must-own in all fantasy leagues.

Austin Hays Returning for Game 1
Austin Hays (back) is returning to the starting lineup ahead of Tuesday's Game 1 of the Wild Card round against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Before this, Hays was held out of the final seven games of the regular season due to back spasms. It doesn't appear the issue was ever serious enough to place him on the injured list. Hays will cover left field and bat cleanup against left-hander Blake Snell. This will be his first start since September 20, so there could be some rust.

Khalil Shakir Has Reclaimed the WR1 Role in Buffalo
Khalil Shakir has reestablished himself as the team's WR1. After a slow start, Shakir has hauled in all nine of his targets for 114 yards and two touchdowns over the past two weeks, ranking as the WR14 during that span. Despite rookie Keon Coleman's explosive Week 1 performance, Shakir has now surpassed him in nearly every statistical category. Shakir draws a favorable Week 5 matchup against the Patriots, who have allowed the 11th-most fantasy points to wideouts this season. While his usage in Joe Brady's offense remains limited, Shakir profiles as a low-end WR3 for the rest of the 2025 season.

Enrique Hernandez Playing in Game 1 of Wild-Card Series
Enrique Hernandez is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's Game 1 of the Wild Card round. It looks like Hernandez is going to get plenty of chances in this series. The Dodgers have decided not to include Michael Conforto on the roster for this series. That being said, Hernandez and Andy Pages figure to see a majority of the time in left field. Hernandez will cover left field and bat eighth against right-hander Hunter Greene on Tuesday. Fantasy managers should look elsewhere for a DFS option. Hernandez hits much better against left-handed pitching, so he won't be an ideal option here.

Aaron Jones Sr. Preparing for a Week 8 Return
Aaron Jones Sr. (hamstring) is targeting a return in Week 8. Jones suffered the injury late in Week 2's loss to the Falcons and was placed on injured reserve afterward. With the Vikings entering the bye in Week 6, that means Jones' next opportunity to return is in Week 8, where they face the Los Angeles Chargers on a Thursday Night. The veteran has a lengthy history of hamstring issues, and with Jordan Mason performing well during his absence, Jones may struggle to reclaim his early-season workload. Fantasy managers should prepare for a potential timeshare rather than a full return to feature-back duties.

Scottie Barnes Ready for Raptors Training Camp
Scottie Barnes has put a lingering hand issue behind him, according to Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca. Barnes said he took a couple of weeks off after the season and is "feeling a lot better" heading into camp. The 24-year-old missed two games in April with a right-hand contusion but is expected to be ready for preseason action. He appeared in 65 games last year, averaging 19.3 points, 7.7 boards, 5.8 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.0 blocks in 32.8 minutes. Even though his field-goal percentage dipped to a career-low 44.6, Barnes still projects as a key fantasy option for 2025-26.

Joe Mixon Unlikely to be Fantasy Asset in 2025
Joe Mixon (ankle) remains without a timetable for return after undergoing offseason surgery. He was placed on the NFI list before the season, and head coach DeMeco Ryans confirmed Monday that there are still no updates and Mixon is "nowhere close" to returning. In Mixon's absence, rookie Woody Marks has taken over the backfield, exploding for 21 touches, 119 scrimmage yards, and two touchdowns in Week 4's win over the Titans. Even if Mixon returns later this year, Houston's offensive struggles could limit the fantasy ceiling for a two-back system. Mixon should stay stashed on fantasy rosters, but expectations need to be tempered, as a repeat of his 2024 production is unlikely.

Max Muncy Playing in Game 1
Max Muncy (lower body) is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's Game 1 of the Wild Card round against the Cincinnati Reds. As expected, Muncy is ready to go for the postseason after missing the final four games of the regular season. It doesn't sound like he was dealing with a serious issue. The Dodgers were likely just holding out Muncy for precautionary reasons. He'll cover third base and bat in the cleanup spot against right-hander Hunter Greene on Tuesday.

Agent: Tyreek Hill Eyeing Return at Start of 2026 Season
Tyreek Hill (knee) required only one surgery and is targeting a return before the 2026 season, according to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus. Hill suffered a gruesome knee dislocation in Week 4's win over the Jets and was immediately taken to the hospital. Rosenhaus noted that Hill avoided nerve damage, blood flow complications, and broken bones, which is a positive sign for his long-term recovery. Hill remains under contract with Miami through 2026, though trade speculation had surfaced earlier this season. With Hill sidelined, Jaylen Waddle and De'Von Achane become the clear focal points of the passing game, while Malik Washington should also see an increased role and fantasy boost.

Cowboys Sign Parris Campbell to Practice Squad
Parris Campbell to their practice squad, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Campbell, a former second-round pick, has battled through multiple significant foot and knee injuries throughout his six-year career, limiting him to 1,117 receiving yards and six touchdowns across 49 games. The Cowboys are dealing with injuries at wide receiver, most notably losing CeeDee Lamb for the next few weeks and Jonathan Mingo, who was placed on injured reserve prior to the season. Campbell could be elevated from the practice squad as soon as this week, but with the Cowboys' deep receiver group, he carries little to no fantasy value at this time.

Victor Wembanyama Cleared for Spurs Training Camp
Victor Wembanyama to participate in training camp with no restrictions following his diagnosis of deep vein thrombosis in his right shoulder last season. Wembanyama averaged 24.3 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.8 blocks, and 1.1 steals in 46 contests before the condition ended his season abruptly in February. Now, with a clean bill of health, the 21-year-old superstar is going to be a significant fantasy contributor across all formats during the upcoming campaign.

LeBron James Held Out of Practice on Tuesday
LeBron James (pinched nerve) was held out of Tuesday's practice due to nerve irritation in his glute. James joined Marcus Smart (Achilles), rookie Adou Thiero (knee) and Gabe Vincent (knee) on the sideline. While the 40-year-old's setback is considered minor, the Lakers are expected to proceed cautiously. James averaged 24.4 points, 8.2 assists, 7.8 rebounds, and 1.0 steals over 70 outings last season and remains a reliable fantasy asset across all formats going into his NBA 23rd campaign.

Jarace Walker Back to Form After Recovering From Ankle Injury
Jarace Walker (ankle) focused on conditioning this offseason after suffering an ankle injury during last season's Eastern Conference Finals. In 2024-25, the 22-year-old averaged 6.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 15.8 minutes per contest across 75 appearances. Fantasy managers should expect the Pacers frontcourt to lean on Walker during the upcoming campaign after Myles Turner signed with Milwaukee in July.

Ricky Pearsall Still Sidelined with Knee Injury on Tuesday
Ricky Pearsall (knee) was unable to practice on Tuesday due to a knee injury. This was his second straight day sitting out in practice. Fantasy managers should closely monitor his status on Wednesday as he appears to be in danger of missing their contest on Thursday evening against the Los Angeles Rams. Pearsall suffered this injury during their Week 4 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Before exiting, the second-year wideout caught four of his five targets for 46 yards. During the first three games of the season, Pearsall was very productive, tallying 281 yards on 16 receptions (24 targets). With Jauan Jennings (ankle/rib) also in danger of missing this contest, the 49ers could turn to Demarcus Robinson and Kendrick Bourne to operate as the team's top wideouts.

Jauan Jennings Not Practicing On Tuesday
Jauan Jennings (ankle/ribs) remained a non-participant during their practice session on Tuesday afternoon. This was Jennings' second-straight non-participation, and he is now in danger of missing their contest against the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday evening. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to his status on Wednesday, as it could provide clarity on his availability. The 28-year-old was unable to play in Week 3 due to this ankle injury, but was able to suit up in Week 4. However, he left this game with an additional rib injury. In this contest, Jennings was relatively quiet, catching only two passes for 24 yards. However, in Week 2, he caught five passes for 89 yards and a score. With Ricky Pearsall (knee) also in danger of sitting out, Kendrick Bourne and Demarcus Robinson could lead the passing attack on Thursday evening.

Brock Purdy Remains Sidelined During Tuesday's Practice
Brock Purdy (toe) will remain sidelined during Tuesday's practice session. Purdy was a non-participant on Monday and is now in danger of missing their contest on Thursday against the Los Angeles Rams. While Purdy missed Weeks 2 and 3 due to this toe injury, he was able to return to action in Week 4, but is dealing with setbacks. In Week 4, Purdy went 22-for-38 with 309 passing yards and a 2:2 TD:INT during their loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. If Purdy were to remain sidelined on Wednesday, he would likely cede starting duties on Thursday evening to Mac Jones. Jones started in each of his two games he missed and averaged a solid 22.4 PPR points per game during this stretch. He would carry high-end QB2 value facing the Rams on Thursday night.

Luis Gil Left Off Yankees Wild-Card Roster After Shortened Season
Luis Gil was left off the Wild Card roster despite a strong showing in limited action this year. The 27-year-old posted a 3.32 ERA, a 1.40 WHIP, and 41 strikeouts across 11 starts. Gil, the 2024 AL Rookie of the Year, was edged out by Carlos Rodon and Cam Schlittler for Wild Card spots. His late return from a right lat strain, which delayed his season debut until August 3, left little time to build on his case.

Gavin Williams Shines in Postseason Start Despite Guardians' Loss
Gavin Williams was one of the lone bright spots in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Detroit Tigers in Game 1 of the 2025 Wild Card Series. Making his second career postseason start, the 26-year-old struck out eight and allowed only two unearned runs on five hits and one walk. Williams showed poise and command on the mound, keeping Cleveland within reach despite limited offensive support. While he was tagged with the loss, his performance proved he can handle the October stage.

Tarik Skubal Shines in Postseason Debut, Tigers Take Game 1 Over Guardians
Tarik Skubal delivered a masterful performance to open the 2025 postseason, leading his team to a 2-1 win over the Cleveland Guardians. The 28-year-old went 7 ⅔ innings, striking out 14 while giving up just one run on three hits and three walks. Detroit's offense provided just enough support to secure the narrow victory and give the Tigers a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three Wild Card Series. Skubal carried his dominant 2.21 ERA from the regular season into October and looks every bit like the frontrunner for the 2025 AL Cy Young Award.

Darnell Washington to Operate as TE1 in Pittsburgh?
Darnell Washington snagged all three of his targets for 20 yards in a 24-21 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. The third-year pro was held without a catch through his first three games this season but emerged as the most productive tight end on the team in Week 4. In addition to his fantasy output, Washington saw the field for 48 of a possible 53 snaps, far exceeding the snap shares of Pat Freiermuth and Jonnu Smith. At 6'7", Washington is incredibly effective as a blocker, and his utilization resulted in a successful day on the ground for running back Kenneth Gainwell. While Washington isn't likely to earn a significant role as a pass-catcher, it was promising to see him get on the same page as quarterback Aaron Rodgers last week. He remains off the fantasy radar for now, but Washington will be a name to monitor when Pittsburgh returns from its Week 5 bye.

Chris Bassitt Nearing Return, Could Factor Into Blue Jays ALDS Rotation
Chris Bassitt (back) has begun throwing off a mound and is on track to return in time for a potential American League Division Series appearance. The official roster has not been announced as the team finalizes its rotation, but the 36-year-old is expected to be available in some capacity. Bassitt has been sidelined since September 19 with lower back inflammation and is currently on the 15-day injured list. The veteran has made three career postseason starts with the New York Mets and Oakland Athletics, posting a 4.20 ERA and 1.47 WHIP. His return would give Toronto a steady, experienced arm for October, should they need him.

Will Smith Returns to Dodgers Roster for Wild-Card Series
Will Smith (hand) on the wild-card roster ahead of the upcoming series against the Cincinnati Reds. Smith has not played since September 9 after landing on the 10-day injured list with a fracture in his right hand. The veteran catcher will only be available for pinch-hitting duties as he works his way back into game shape. Before the injury, Smith was one of the Dodgers' most consistent offensive producers, slashing .296/.404/.497 with a .901 OPS across 110 games. His presence, even in a limited role, gives Los Angeles a dangerous late-game bat.
