Pereira was looking to defend his light heavyweight title for the fourth time but was ultimately unsuccessful. After five rounds, all three judges scored in favor of Ankalaev, with scores of 29-26 and two at 28-27. In 25 minutes of action, Pereira landed 76 significant strikes. Ankalaev was pressuring Pereira for the majority of the bout and making it difficult for Pereira to land any of his trademark shots. Justin Gaethje picked up a unanimous decision victory over Rafael Fiziev in the co-main event of UFC 313 on Saturday. Gaethje entered the bout as the underdog but managed to pull out the win in a hard-fought fight. After losing the first round on the judges' scorecards, Gathje won the second and the third round. During the three-round back-and-forth battle, Gaethje ultimately got the better of Fiziev via unanimous decision. On Saturday, Amanda Lemos got back in the win column by defeating Iasmin Lucindo via unanimous decision on the main card of UFC 313. It wasn't the most exciting fight, but Lemos managed to control Lucindo most of the fight, taking her down time and time again. King Green suffered a first-round knockout loss to Mauricio Ruffy on Saturday's main card opener of UFC 313. Just over two minutes into the first round, Ruffy landed a spinning back kick that knocked Green out. With the defeat, Green has lost three of his past four fights and is 3-3 in his past six, dating back to his UFC 291 victory over Tony Ferguson in July 2023.
