Brad Keselowski's Talladega Run Ends Early After Crashing
Brad Keselowski of RFK Racing had high hopes for a strong performance at Talladega Superspeedway, but ended with disappointment through a finish of 36th during Sunday's Jack Link's 500. Beginning the race from the 22nd position, Keselowski quickly made his way up through the field at the start of the first stage. The No. 6 Ford driver made it as high as the top three, but never made it to the lead. After riding with the pack for most of the first stage, the first round of pit stops came up, and Keselowski looked to pit with other Ford drivers on lap 43. Unfortunately, Kyle Busch got up to the side of Keselowski and lost control of his car, colliding with the No. 6 Ford and causing a multi-car crash. Keselowski sustained too much damage from this incident and was unable to continue, settling for a 36th-place finish, his worst result at Talladega since October 2016, when he failed to finish due to an engine failure.
